You don't have to include reference letters from all your employers. You only need to include letters for the employment you are claiming points for. For instance, I only claimed points for my current job as I have been on the job for over 3 years and it worked. What I did was to remove my previous jobs from my employment section but I included them under personal activities section to avoid any misrepresentation. You will only be asked to provide reference letters for the jobs under the employment section in your account.

Have you got the severance package yet? If yes, you can attach the termination letter to show the reason for the huge lump sum in your account. If no, I don't think the letter will work as POF. You will have to wait till you are paid the severance package.

Hello good people in the house,

I plan to relocate to Canada with my family through express entry, after losing my job (April, 2016) due to the current economic downturn in the country. I have a total of nine (9) years working experience with two different employers (5 and 4 years respectively), with the two falling into different NOC.

Is it mandatory that I obtain ‘reference letters’ from the two employers? My understanding of the EE system is to present a reference letter for the job experience one plans to claim point, and seeing that I have more than 3 years working experience with each of the employers, I felt a letter from just one of them will do…………Please, I would like those who know better to clarify this!

Secondly, if at all, a reference letter from only one of the employers is sufficient, would there be a need for me to state the other job experience when creating my express entry profile (remember, I wouldn’t be providing a second reference letter)?

Lastly, I would like to know if it is in order to include my ‘termination letter’ to support my POF as the letter clearly stated that I was entitled to a few Nmillion as severance package.

As you are yet to receive any nomination, just reply them that you do not have any nominations.
With extra 600 points, it is certain you will receive ITA in the next draw. Once you submit your application, your profile cannot expire and it does not matter if your IELTS expires as well. If you are favoured, you might have received your PPR before September as applicants with PNP are sometimes processed faster than applicants without PNP

meta4:
After close to a year I applied to Nova Scotia Province, I just got a mail from them to confirm if I have not received nomination from any province. I have 10 working days to respond (20th June, 2016).
I have an awaiting submission for Quebec this month (June 13th). What should I do now? Respond to Nova Scotia since I have not received any nomination? Can I run both programs that's if I get nominated by Quebec?
I am hoping to use the provincial to boost my Express Entry score as I currently have less than 340 CRS.
My IELTS expires in Sept, 2016 and my Express Entry profile expires in July 2016 since it is valid for 1 year, How do I create another one on my own as I am currently using an agent?
I would appreciate any advise and feedback.
Thanks a lot guys

It does not matter. "To whom it may concern" will suffice

1.No, it's not mandatory. One reference letter will suffice since it's at least 3 years.
2.Yeah, you can, just put it under personal history, you wont be asked to provide the letter.
3.Don't believe this will work, according to IRCC, funds needs to be unencumbered(Please seek a second opinion on this). Seeing as you're expected to show a six months balance/average statement, I'm not sure how this will work. Additionally and probably most importantly, your termination letter is not a legal financial document. My advice, ensure the severance package/fund is unencumbered and then back it up with the termination letter. Thus, even if your statement of account shows low funds and then a major spike after you receive the severance package, a simple explanation is all that would be needed.

Hi, please as regards PNP, I'm about going that route as my CRS is 385. I want to know if it's allowed to apply to many province as possible or one will be disqualified if that's done. I'm looking at Manitoba, Nova Scotia and probably new Brunswick all at a time. Is that allowed
Further more, ECA is not out yet. Can I still go ahead with the application for PNP?
THANKS

As I got my ITA without PNP, my knowledge about PNP is very limited. However, I am almost certain that you can apply to more than one province. Just go to the province website and read up on their requirements. You will be able to determine if you can apply or not. The fact is that most of all these provinces except Ontario and Saskatchewan require job offers in the province or for you to have studied or live there before. I think Manitoba requires you to have a family there (Not sure though). It is a bit difficult to get PNP nowadays. You will however lose nothing by trying.

Use the link below to read up on the requirements for each of the provinces.

Good day Guys,
I have been following this trend and am happy i came across this. Please i really need help with some answers to the following questions.

1. Do i need to provide payslips for all my past job experiences? i can provide a reference letter but i cnt find any of my former payslips. Also are we requested to provide paylips for our current jobs?

2. I would prefer to use a fixed Depoit Cert for my POF, will i still need to submit my current payslips and bank statement?

3. when should i request cer of Deposit from the bank? should i wait till when i recieve an ITA? and how long should i make the duration of the fixed deposit?
4. will a fixed deposit from any registered financial institution in Nigeria be accepted, ( example deposit cert from a Mortgage Bank, Microfinance Bank etc)

Thanks Alot
God Bless

@ugoiyke79e Amen to that PR prayer ooo. cheesy

Just to update everyone on NB info session. I will be attending one in Dubai next month.
if your Noc is on their list go check them out. But you need to have your ielts ready, before you can Request permission to attend any of their sessions. They will invite you to attend if they believe your attendance will lead to them issuing you an ITA.
Also, recently they started issuing ITA immediately after the info session. So if you have your ielts, ECA, and money to spare for travel expenses, visit their website for more information.

Yes, get them ready. Fill them out but don't sign and date them yet. When they open again, probably August/sept, sign and date them all before uploading.

Hello iPhie25,

I believe you do have a copy of your transcript as it is needed by IRCC when you get ITA. Did you ask school to duplicate when it is ready or applied for it twice? Or since IQAS only ask for photocopies as indicated on the form, did u collect the original and ask the school to send photocopy with their stamp on it?

Thanks a lot for the time.

Hello, please my wife has MSc and we intend using that to get points. So if we want to evaluate her credentials, do we need to submit her BSc alongside with her MSc, or just her MSc alone....
Secondly, I know a friend that works with the exams and records in my school. He said they will help me process my transcripts, seal and stamp it. And they will give it to me to add other documents like copies of my international passport, certificates and so on, and then send it to IQAS or anywhere my self. I hope that won't be a problem, becauae IQAS said it should be sent by d school. (I intend using FedEx or registered mail by nipost).

Before registering for the info session, did you email them first and they replied that you can attend? If yes then you are on the right track.
A week before the event they will communicate the details of the info session.
Recently they started issuing ITA on the spot. People were asked to come with their ielts, ECA and Eoi form to the session.
The last session in Cebu, Philippines abt 50 people were issued ITA on the spot. After ITA, it takes about 3 months for them to nominate you after getting your documents.

To attend the session, you send your ietls results, and attach full cv to promotions@gnb.ca.
There is no format that I'm aware of. The subject of the mail was my intended Noc, followed by requesting permission.
Then in the subject I wrote my ietls result and find attached my cv.
You send Eoi after you attend a session not before. Your Noc must be on the list of nocs they are interested in. But you can always try your luck.

An Ideal reference letter:

1. Written on company letterhead
2. Signed by the responsible officers/supervisor
3. Have the printed name and job title of the responsible officer/supervisor beneath the signature
4. Show the company’s full address, telephone and fax numbers, e-mail and website addresses
5. Stamped with the company’s official seal (if applicable)
6. Ideally, the Business card of the person signing it should be attached to the letter

The letter must include 5 things:

1. Your job title
2. The dates of your employment (ideal format: DD/MM/YYYYY)
3. Your salary per year
4. Your average hours/week
5. A detailed list of your employment duties : In order to be successful with your application the visa officer needs to feel that the duties and responsibilities indicated in your letter of reference are some worth related to that of the NOC you are claiming. - http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/NOC/English/NOC/2011/OccupationIndex.aspx

What if I can’t get a letter of reference to these specifications?

If you really can’t provide an official letter of reference to the specifications mentioned above then you can try supplementary documentation but this is never as good as an official letter of reference. Keep in mind that the final decision regarding your employment documentation is always at the discretion of the visa officer.
Some examples of supplementary documentation:
• Employment contracts
• Promotion letters
• Visa petition letters
• Payslips
• Sworn declarations from previous colleagues

Thought this might help someone, please feel free to add your opinion. Thanks
