iphie25: I honestly think you should wait for another ITA. Your score is pretty high and the cut off can't remain at 480s. There is just this thing about a straightforward application. . . 1 Like |

dupyshoo: Very Objective. I've even prepared an LoE for it and was going to attach d WES ECA. Well my next bday is April. D only thing I'm going to lose is d time on d police report and jimoh is unwilling to do another one. Says it's too stressful and I dnt want to spend more on d PCC thing again. 1 Like |

If those are the only concerns you have, then I think you will be better off waiting for your peace of mind. I think he just wants more money. If he refuses to help, let me know as I think I know someone who might be able to help. You might even decide to go there yourself. So, this should not be a problem at all. iphie25: |

So I stumbled on this on the internet yesterday. Cut-off scores will "likely drop below 400" to accommodate higher draw size. Focus on 2 mins clip between 16:30-18:30 for clarification on above points. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vaLvLG-6n3k Note : The speaker works for IRCC. |

Iphie pls confirm. I read something about declining an ITA. That if one declines an ITA, that one cannot get another until after a year. Check for the info on cic website. |

Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by Nobody: 3:46pm On Jun 03, 2016 |
iphie25: Honestly Iphie, if I were in your shoes, I would apply and attach both ECAs with a letter of explanation. I will state that the WES evaluation was a bit ambiguous since it had both 'first professional degree' and 'Bachelor's degree', so I had to do another evaluation with a different body for an unambiguos and better clarification of my credentials. This is what I would definitely do. All the best dear. God will give you the wisdom you need at this point! |

Hello everyone, OUR CRS is 384.... Yea, that's not too good... But is it advisable we go through the PNP route? What chances do we have to be nominated so as to get more points... Please advice |

Hi Iphie, I got misinformed. I have gone to confirm what I wrote about declining an ITA and found out that There is NO NEGATIVE effect on such action. This is an extract from cic website [b]Declining an Invitation to Apply If you decline an invitation, you will be put back into the Express Entry pool of candidates (as long as you still meet the minimum criteria) to be considered in future rounds of invitations. You may have to take steps to be considered again for the pool. For example, if you got additional points for a job offer but the job is no longer available to you, you may need to get another job offer. Or, if you got married or entered into a common-law relationship, you will have to update your Express Entry profile. There is no guarantee that you will be invited to apply again. But, if you choose to re-enter the pool, declining an invitation will not have a negative effect on whether or not you could be invited to apply later. If you do not decline an invitation and you do not apply within 60 days, the invitation will expire and you will have to complete and submit a new Express Entry profile and be accepted to the pool again to be considered in future rounds of invitations. To re-enter the pool, you must complete a new profile and meet the minimum criteria. I just didn't want you to miss your ita. Regards |

NittaJ: Hi Iphie, I'd just like to echo what @NittaJ said. The LOE tab covers a multitude of sins. Provide all the information there and explain. In fact, the amount of random information I told them in my LOE ehn.. I just wanted to cover all my bases. Please don't bother waiting for another ITA. Use this one. Wish you the best. We're all rooting for you. 3 Likes |

iphie25: IMO, you may choose to go ahead and apply with new ECA as long as your CRS score remain the same and/or above the cut-off for the EE draw you got your ITA! That's all it boils down to at the end of the day. FYI, I used a 10 month old job ref letter, and it flew. But the letter was dated after leaving the job. But since you said you did not get bank letter, maybe you should just let this one go. Best wishes... |

Dear Gurus in the house. I have stayed up for two nights reading through. So here is my case; I will be taking my ielts on the 16th of July. When I have both U.S. and UK degrees with over 8years work experience. My hubby has just a guild certificate so I have to be the PA. However, he's not interested in relocating but wants us to go and we have 2 children. My question is will it be difficult applying without him. He has a Canadian visa already. The thing is if he excels in the test it still will not change my score. Would it seem abut off if just the 3 of us apply? I have also verified my degrees WES. If I score 8777 my points should be around 451. Please advice |

hello guys, I rili want to relocate to Canada but am still abit confuse. I hold a bsc in mech engrng but been in the banking industry for 3yrs. do I have an opportunity here? Pls kind advice will be appreciated |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by Amazing01: 1:52pm On Jun 04, 2016 |
marksburg: From then little I know. You work background depends largely on position(s) you've held at within the banking industry. For example, you can not enter the EE pool with a customer service role. As im still fairly new on here, id let the gurus also weigh in on this... |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by vcole: 1:53pm On Jun 04, 2016 |
your ielts scores are clb level 9 which is more or less great for a principal applicant. evaluating only your masters degree would give you the same points as a first professional degree. so, like i said earlier, write wes to conclude your evaluation without your llb because they would only evaluate it as a bachelors and not as a first professional degree required to practise law and as such that evaluation of your llb would not become useful to you as it gives no extra points and also would not be useful if you choose to apply to the NCA to sit for the bar in canada. so, really its a win win situation to just evaluate your masters alone. Same goes for your husband, evaluate only his masters degree. it would take a much shorter time frame and would give the same points as the mbbs. it is also cheaper. i would advise you use IQAS for that as they seem to have a shorter time line from recent experiences shared here. What have your job roles/functions been? in which of them do you have the longest duration? i believe nysc experience can suffice as 1 yr of wrk experience as long as you can show proof of your employment and get a letter of reference from your supervisor. nothing also prevents your husband from beginning the process of evaluating his mbbs seeing as it takes time and he would eventually need it when he wants to sit for licensing exams from the mcc. So, evaluate his masters, conclude your wes evaluation, get his ielts and get into the pool with you as a principal applicant. If his mbbs gets evaluated in good time and you have not got an ITA yet while in the pool, i believe you can delete that profile and create another with him as the PA. yinyinola: 1 Like |

Hello everyone, please I'm looking at going through the PNP. MY CRS is 386... I want to know if I am qualified to apply for PNP. Also, how many provinces can I apply to at a time while I'm in d pool. What province do I have to have a relative or close friend that can nominate me so as to earn more 600 points And finally, can a relative of a spouse nominate the applicant? For instance, my wife is the PA, can my cousin nominate us? Thanks and God bless.... |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by deucruise: 3:34pm On Jun 04, 2016 |
TeesMom: I'm not sure what you mean by difficult. You'll still need to do a medical and get a PCC for him. Also, you'd have to show proof of fund for a family of 4 even IF he's not accompanying. If his guild certificate and IELTS score won't affect your score(which I doubt), I suggest you include him as "accompanying" because spousal appliaction takes about a year to process, post PR from what I've heard. |
