If it's GEJ's doing , we are happy

But we can't forget not more than 30 people stole 3.3 Trillion naira under his watch , that's why i voted against GEJ in the first place

but if this is Buhari's doing or if Buhari completed it

Then SAI BABA

That project was long completed by GEJ govt.

This fraudulent and incompetent Buhari/APC govt keeps delaying it's take-off to give impression as if they had any input in it
And I can tell you on strong grounds that yaradua was half way done with this project, coz I do see it while traveling during my undergraduate days to ahmadu Bello University zaria.
All of a sudden the contractors left for some years for God knows why after GEJ came into power. Work began again in late 2012 when I went for my convocation, but still GEJ couldn't complete it, coz believe me if he had, he would be so hungry to include it in his commissioned projects prior to the election. Instead of the re-energized power plants he was commissioning.

All said, God bless the Federal Government of Nigeria for doing what is right.

I don't get how some people here reason.

GEJ started it, so what? How many projects did the IB inherited from Yar'Adua?

Kudos to PMB for seeing this to completion. A project is only useful when completed. We have so many abandoned projects scattered all over the country. What benefits have they served?
Let's always be factual in our postings.Which appropriation did PMB use to complete this project? His first budget that is about to take off or which? Most times people who post in this forum, displays the fact that they don't understand the way government works in Nigeria

U r so blessed jare "Governance is also continuum" so many outstanding nigerians hv proposed nice policies but our bane has alwaz been implementation/finishing. Watz d use of initiating a project witout implementation & subsequent completion

Re: Abuja-Kaduna High Speed Railway Is Ready by Reference(m): 10:41am On Jun 18, 2016
Then my dream will be to have it as a model of enterprise to attract similar investments in other parts of the country. It doesn't all have to be interstate or passenger. There are some States with large land masses such as Kogi, Cross-River and Taraba with far distances between productive communities where a rail line is imperative. For one the super-highway in Cross-River, good as it may be should have been a super railway instead, cheaper to build, operate, regulate and enterprise.

I also hope the Idu line will be attractive to international visitors because that is the sure fire way to advertise for additional investments. So we must hide our nature and do away with filth, touting, beggars, disorderliness, corruption and the terrible mercantile nature of most of our open spaces. In short, make it as decent as Grand Central or Waterloo or something close to them......if only wishes were horses....

From the empty treasury? We thought he left no money.

The funding for that project was concluded since before GEJ came into office, if I'm right it was funded by some Chinese mega bank and Nigerian polithiefcians were not exposed to the funds directly to steal it

PMB completed it with which budget?

He didn't need the budget. All the sudden construction work going on now is due to fear of EFCC by contractors who sat on the moneys paid them. Such works are all over the federation. An example is Kakatar Construction Company which abandoned the road constuction of Maitama Aliero District in Abuja, only to come back to site after PMB's swearing in. Why the break in the first place? Illorin- Jebba road by the Emir of Illorin... so many.

Believe it or not, OBJ and Abacha had good vision for Nigeria.... They may be corrupt yes. But there vision was very good.. . Far better than what we have today

Thank GOd it is completed... .
Next should be Abuja- lagos (that's was supposed to be the first even)
Lagos- Port Harcourt
Then Port Harcourt - Kano through Abuja

OBJ and Abacha vision of collecting oil revenues from the Niger delta but use the revenues to build high speed rail system in the north of Nigeria, while Niger delta people travel with canoes and marshy roads.

Later, northern Nigeria would use sharia criminal laws and Boko Haram to chase away southern Nigerians from the north.

They believe enemies exist that can change destinies, that men of God exist to neutralize that ,that prayer can make you rich, that swearing oaths has some physical effect and sundry other kerosene related maladies

That appears to be the best model for infrastructural development and I hope others follow. The private sector will always out perform the public secctor.
