Exactly! Many are here demanding he be deported and insinuating he is telling lies. When can we ever be kind to a fellow country man? There are different tribes in Nigeria affected by Boko Haram. Many who are skeptical because of his name should learn that people from different tribes in Nigeria live in the North and were affected by the menace of Boko Haram. All their killings aren't just Northerners! There are southerners and easterners involved also.

Please let's give this man a break...there is nothing we can do from here for him but since he has friends in Iceland who are helping him, all we can do is stand in solidarity with our countryman. Do not let bad belle get in the way.

This the problem with these asylum seekers. We have the samething in South Africa, Ibos claiming asylum but no Hausas, Fulanis, and other Northerners. Until Jonathan'visit to SA when he said no Nigerian should be seeking asylum.

The thing is, northerners don't go to other people's country to live there.So far, I don't even think any northerner has applied for asylum to any country. We normally travel out for these three main reasons;

1. vacation
2. Business
3. Education

I bet you, finding a single northerner in your country for the sole purpose of living there will be almost impossible. And am very sure of this. You see even the northerners that are affected by this boko haram madness rarely travel out of the north, the places they might decide to settle down for the meantime might be neighbouring countries like Cameroon, Niger and Chad. And they usually come back to their homes when peace have finally
returned.

There are notherners in SA but not as asylum seekers but applied for residency and are working at least the few I know, are a journalist who is A Christian though, a Muslim doctor and just regular office workers.
