1: A man walked in the house. He was about to hang up his coat when he heard his wife say, "No John! Don't do it!" There was a shot and the woman was dead. There was a police officer, a doctor, and a lawyer standing next to her. The woman's husband knew that the police officer did it. But how did the husband know? 2: A detective who was mere days from cracking an international smuggling ring has suddenly gone missing. While inspecting his last-known location, you find a note: 710 57735 34 5508 51 7718 Currently there are 3 suspects: Bill, John, and Todd. Can you break the detective’s code and find the criminal’s name? 3: There is a man found dead in a circular mansion. The detective interviews the cook, maid, and babysitter. The cook said he couldn't have done it because he was preparing the meal. The maid said she couldn't have done it because she was dusting the corners. The babysitter said she couldn't because she was playing with the children. Who was lying? annnikky: HMMMM 1. The police officer obviously was a man while both the doctor and lawyer were ladies. John is a man’s name, so John has got to be the police officer’s name. The husband's wife was saying before she was shot that "No John! Don’t do it!" to John the police officer and the police officer shot her. |
Re: Solve This Puzzle by 3rdlegxxx(m): 7:58pm On Jun 29, 2016 |
annnikky: Your number 3 question has the answer written in it..... The maid said she couldn't have done it because she was dusting the corners; a circular mansion obviously can not have corners, lol, too easy dearie.. |
Re: Solve This Puzzle by naturalwaves: 8:06pm On Jun 29, 2016 |
annnikky: The Police officer is most likely named John and was previously known to the woman. |
Re: Solve This Puzzle by naturalwaves: 8:11pm On Jun 29, 2016 |
annnikky:Done this before.... Answer is Bill. Will explain later... Wanna give others a chance. |
Re: Solve This Puzzle by naturalwaves: 8:21pm On Jun 29, 2016 |
annnikky:A circular mansion will most likely have parts like Arc, Circumference etc, it cannot have vertices, corners etc. So, it is assumed that the maid is lying. However, the maid may be an illiterate and call the circumference the corners. I do not think that the fact that she said corners is sufficient enough to assert that she commited the crime. |

Solution to all d puzzles 1: The police officer was a man while the doctor and lawyer were ladies. John is a man’s name. The husband’s name was David. So John was the police officer’s name. David’s wife was saying, "No John! Don’t do it!" to the police officer and the police officer shot her anyway. 2: Bill. If you read the message upside down, you’ll notice that the numbers resemble letters and that those letters form legible sentences. The message is "Bill is boss. He sells oil." 3: The maid. There are no corners in a circular mansion. Cc: 3rdlegxxx, naturalwaves, amicable24, femi4, kobonaire, AgricSalt, mikaelzX, HyDef, saintneo, Davbams, KINGinVAHALA2 |

Let me add some facts and motivations of life for us all. Spending a large amount of time with someone literally causes you to pick up their habits. Choose your friends wisely. Respect blind people. Why? Because they judge others by their personality, not by their looks. A successful man is one who can lay a firm foundation with the bricks others have thrown at him. --David Brinkley The average woman smiles 62 times a day. The average man smiles only 8 times. Sometimes you have to move on without certain people. If they're meant to be in your life, they'll catch up. Almost every successful person begins with two beliefs: the future can be better than the present and I have the power to make it so. 1 Like |

Can you play? *************** QUESTION OF THE DAY! If you get the answer right, I swear you are a super genius. A lady bought goods worth #200 and paid the shopkeeper with a #1000 Note. The Shopkeeper had no change on him so he went to another Shopkeeper John his neighbour and collected #1000 change in #200 denominations, with which he settled the lady and she left. A little while later, John came back angrily after he discovered the #1000 note he was given by the shopkeeper was fake, and demanded a replacement. To avoid trouble, the shopkeeper had to give John another #1000 and destroyed the counterfeit which had no real value. So Question for the genius... How much has the Shopkeeper lost in total? ************** |

enoch273:dude you haven't learnt the difference between a riddle and a question, a riddle demands you sometimes think outside the box, it is easy to look up the longest word in a dictionary but it's a riddle, it's not that straight forward and simple, let me give you a clue, the answer has less than 8 letters. yes it does.. |
Re: Solve This Puzzle by annnikky(f): 1:28pm On Jun 30, 2016 |
AgricSalt: Answers is #1000 The Shopkeeper Gave #800 to the lady and also goods worth #200 (only this is actual Loss) Also the shopkeeper had to give #1000 to the Shopkeeper of the next shop but it was the amount he had taken from him in lieu of the Fake Note. (This Nullifies itself - So no profit / loss here ) Hence in total The Shopkeepeer's loss is #1000 Hope I get it 1 Like |
