Actually, they won't send a man to jail just for slapping a woman especially if she is your wife. First of all, you may sleep in police office for a night or two, then go to court and they may possible give you a restraining order, and definitely order you to take anger management classes which runs in hundreds of dollars.

And did i forget to mention, just having police wahala could run you record.

I read of a case where a man even bit a woman. And believe it or not, this man was an educated banker in Lagos.

Are you trying to justify slapping of your unfortunate physically weaker wife by pointing to others who are worse than you? Can you justify sealing by pointing to a murderer and saying at least you are better?
