Searching through the amazon US and UK websites, there are plenty of books on Igbo issues, but the problem is they are very expensive.

My friend, I am also facing the same challenge. I have spent the last three nights trying to get one online. Its either they refer to one whack website or they ask me of my location and the library there. If you tell them you are in Nigeria, they ask the location in Nigeria.

I believe these books are not common and contains concrete history of the people of Igbo extraction. Many were written by slaves, educated slaves in diaspora and were kept for safe keep. Their knowledge about the history was helped by the education they got from the slave masters.

Just screenshots of those books showed the quality of its content and quality cannot be found everywhere.

I will keep trying until I finally get a few books to stock and keep for myself and kids.

Make extensive use of search engines. Sometimes you really have to be patience and read through blogs and peoples comments. I have gotten many links someone posted in a bloga if you are patient to read through. We don't have libraries or that much ebooks websites that deals on the topic you want so we are left at the mercy of what we get outside the shores. Trytorrents sites

How expensive were the ones you saw? I buy novels for up to 3-4k or more without regrets.


My uncle has a really wonderful book on the Igbo culture, I could send it across to you if you care.

Been looking for books that could possibly explain the link between the igbos and the Luo tribe of Kenya as they bear same names such as Okoro, Ejimba, Opara, Ngige, Amadi, Mbaka etc and they love showing off wealth like igbos!
