Funny Nigeria League
What is funny about the NPFL?
Very soon our players will be squaring up against some of the best teams in the Laliga in preseason friendlies.

I thought too the LMC has improved but after watching SA s reserve league, u21 national championship and Varsity Cup (which its games are played at the varsities home grounds) , I figured nigerian league is waaaaay behind .

I am unhappy about their pitches. SA varsity stadiums can't be better than stadiums owned by state governments and then be happy as a Nigerian.

I want to see good football but u can't on pitches like that. Sundowns I coming over in August, it would be sad to see them playing on a half grassed or damping pitch. even an artificial pitch is mockery to Africa s leading economy

explain your concern with coverage. I am telling you the problem is the organisation. till today there is a club which its match hasn't been shown live. why?

when Supersport bought PSL rights they didn't necessarily uplift the standard, they found an organised structure and chose to make money out it. do u think they r making a profit with NPFL?

without a doubt, the PSL is superior to the npfl by a margin this long,

yes, but its even worst, when citizens show lack of interest for our domestic league, how are the teams supposed to grow?? a follow on social media or even going to the stadiums once in while would do.
as for sundowns coming, well let's pray rain dosnt fall on that day, the sharks stadium (enyimbas adopted home since our stadium is under going renovation , is also a good stadium but has very poor drainage system lyk all the rest) left to me I say we play in a poorly maintain pitch, fancy teams don't do well on there and we need all three points we can get.

bro pitches are also bad, lyks of abia warriors, plateau united tho ikorodu I wouldn't say the pitch but the capacitance and structure, this is what turn guyz off, trust me when people start showing a positive attitude towards our league coverage won't be a problem, the media would be running towards the stadium sef.

I don't get ur question yet

my concern with coverage is actually television rights, match coverage angles and all

and yes the organization is poor owing to the fact their owners-the governor/ment uses teams as political medium and sort and we all know football is past being just a sport it is a business!

as soothing as it is to know npfl won the African league of the year in 2012 we still have some hurdles to cross

you could mention 2 out of 20 so where does that leave us

positive attitude- will you being a hustling man close from whatever work u do & hurry to d stadium @3pm to watch any game?

See the positive attitude I think we should b talking about is the owners-the government to release this clubs to private sector ..The professional league is actually a business with sport as d driving force
I believe the LMC could enforce night matches on weekdays(sumtin of the sort of 5pm downwards) then we would see massive turn outs as we see with Rangers Int'l

if we say positive attitude in terms of how Nigerians view the league Speak for itself
but positive attitude in terms of ownership & structure I am with u

And which citizens do not show interest??You?? ..Fine! the interest may not be in the millions but hell yeah there is interest and I have colleagues that follow local transfer news like it gives them money..
social media??Do you use twitter @ all??
if u do follow the league u must have heard that enyimba will b using the yakubu Gowon stadium in PH and d pitch is standard

lastly if I were to give leagues credit .I would applaud all north African leagues first b4 I think of ABSA PSL

1. I'd applaud all African leagues. they manage to pull through despite having difficulties be it pitches, infrastructure or even economic emancipation.

NPFL need the rich Nigerians to uplift it. buy 4 5 clubs , attract kit sponsors and upgrade already existing stadiums.

2. People are starting show up at Nigerian stadiums , well now because EPL season is over but I hope they come to stadium even after. Nigeria is such a huge country, its media should be able to independently make its citizens want to focus only on local content.

3. Nigerians are sooo patriotic yet they would easily choose English or american things over Nigerian.

4. If more countries get interested in watching NPFL perhaps coverage will improve. I see games are HD now.

bro as I posted dis , honestly I didn't expect any opposition, bcuz dats the truth. let me start again, what is Nigeria's population?? then compare to the followers of lmc on twitter or any great club in naija.

secondly the fact DAT u have a couple of friends who appreciate the local league proves nothing, I also have feiends who dont , at times when the see me watching the highlights onlyn dey start telling me stuffs lyk ave got money to waste ooo on the useless league, and me and you and every body on this thread knw that the percentage of dis kynd of people to us who watch the local league is 98-2.

3rdly I am quiet aware that Enyimba has adopted the stadia at port Harcourt for caf cl games, but then standard you said I have some pics to dis prove DAT below

lastly bro you have to give credit ware it is due, for me I consider the absa a greater league than any north African league and you and I knw DAT is true

Oh..I didn't know you were talking of the stadium for CAF games

but as I said Bro....most Nigerians haven't been given a reason to root for the respective Nigerian clubs bcuz d club itself isn't lucrative like their expectations

and lastly pls check out any of the North African leagues especially Egypt & Tunisia... u would understand my points

I just used d hustling as an example bruh..I was trying to prove d point that evening matches on weekdays will decongest weekend matches and give Nigerians opportunity to at least watch @ home and on field
