AbdulWastecx
Aventures
Skimanski
Bitswork
Spyder880

If I was doing a build with a fixed timeline and I can accommodate their Supervision fees then I'll go with one of these.

No one is perfect but I have found these list to be above reproach.

Why am I not using them?

My build has no immediate timeline (there are two houses, one of which is totally empty that I can stay in) and is go as I feel is necessary. Most of them would not want that.

To those of you that have boreholes, how much did you pay per meter for the drilling?

Thanks in advance.

Being meaning to find out sir,

Is there some form of business partnerships on Nairaland property section that new businesses can key into? Say for example, a group of people offering different services, links each other up for the purpose of providing better and more effective services to clients, while all the benefactors of the entire project will be mainly nairalanders.

I wish to be part of something like that and from there, build my online presence. Is it obtainable?

Thank you as I anticipate your response.

Sorry, I don't know much about this... May be concerned people will chime in.

Thanks. Sorry, I don't really watch TV when I come home... to busy enjoying with people listening to old music and drinking our native non-alcoholic permy wine... I cannot name one National TV station in Naija presently.. I used to like Bar-Beach Show in those days with Art Alade.

Based on the peculiarity of your site as seen on pics though, I'll suggest you speak to a reputable drilling company to carry out pre-drilling geophysical survey to establish groundwater level and depth to aquifer point. This will help determine the type of drilling and your final cost.

The cost I received some years ago from a Pro-Driller is N11,500/m for drilling using percussion equipment, piping and other installation as required.

5 for 10mm and 10 for Tv cable is way too much. Should be in the region of 2 and 3 respectively.

mufutau55:

Thanks Allcopacetic, of course now I do know a reliable distributor now.. truly I did not know you deal in electrical cables too.
Now I know where to turn... I actually spoke with and communicate with Taiwo Ikusemoran. And unfortunately when I told them my
quantity, I did not get any more discounts. I shall be in touch with you for better prices and pickup original at their factory.

So far my quantity is below:

1.5mm = 25
2.5mm = 15
4mm = 7
6mm = 3
10mm = 5
Coaxial Cable (for TV) = 10 (But I can pickup this anywhere with low price, does not have to be Coleman or Nigerchin)

Thanks...

@msogunro Congrats on the acquisition of your land. I'd been watching silently from the time you were deliberating whether to buy it or not. I was looking at buying already completed houses but the stuff i'm seeing on here in the property section is making me have a rethink. There's an indescribable joy in seeing those builds go up - even though they aren't mine. Just seeing the transformation from 3D to actual physical building is enough. If you don't mind me asking, how close is this to Green Springs Hotel? Are you able to share with me the details of the agent selling the next plot? Many thanks in advance.

msogunro:

Sure. Why not? I believe the corner piece next to my land is still available. If you're serious, I can give you the agents #. It's #2 million unless you're a superb negotiator.

What's your thoughts on using stone dust to fill a compound before laying interlocks, I know it's sharp sand that is usually used. I have sand filed with literate as high as it can get.

my question is that, does stone dust offer any advantage as I know it's more costly compared to sharp. My interlocker suggested it but he thinks brabus has either finished paying me or Dasuki shared some money with me. grin grin

Stone dust is mostly use as top soil for laying interlocking pave stone but due to the cost people tend to use sharp sand. Bros If you are part of the DASUKIGATE while ask this question? Lets get crush Diamond as top soil, how about that? its $500/ton. looking forward to hearing from you. cheesy cheesy cheesy

I'm laying out the electrical wiring for my garage apartment and would like to get ideas about Nigerias electrical code. I want to try to be as close to code as possible where it makes sense.

Thing like how many sockets per room, height of switches and outlets, amperages, etc

Thanks.

Can we get HDMI quality with any type of HQ coaxial cable? coz I hate having to use 2 remote controls for HDMI over Ethernet cable (ie Cat5e/Cat6 cable) adapter.

Can you share this with me? I'm presently looking at doing HDMI over Cat6 for 18 TVs over 40m length.

Trying to change an AV multimedia system to HDMI for use with ProPresenter on my Mac system.

It doesn't have to be here to avoid derailing the thread. You can share links to such interesting setup if you have.
By the way, this can be integrated into smarthome network so I don't think you're derailing the thread if shared in details here.

Thanks.

I think he's talking about HDMI over IP. One can extend good signal over 100m with such setup.

This will be one of the cheapest way of getting 1080p without breaking bank. An all HDMI setup is very expensive.

Number of socket per room depend on individual client but minimum of 3 sockets to accommodate standing fan(if there would be any), TV and laptop/phone charging,

Height of switches ranfes between 1200mm to 1400mm from the finsh floor level

Height of socket ranges from 350mm to 450mm from the finish floor.

10A switch for all the lighting
13A socket for all the socket outlet
20A double pole switch for all AC and water heater
45A for cooker control unit

I was expecting you to tag the person's moniker on the currency thread for verification instead of coming here to cause another thing because the person involved is in the group of ppl that can come up with shyt like this.

I will be waiting for you on the thread.

Sure,
As far as delivering the radio signals from your dish to the receiver/decoder goes, a good copper-cored coax cable should give you a perfectly clear signal.

Getting HDMI quality picture and sound now depends on the setup/connection from your receiver to the TV.

Receiver to TV (via HDMI cable) and TV to Home theater (via HDMI) should set you up for quality HD viewing.

The TV obviously has to be a HD TV for the HDMI connection to matter

Lol madam,
and you know this how? @ bolded

You cannot safely arrive at such a conclusion unless you know:

-if the connection to the D/board is single or three phase,
-The number of boards to be fed
-The distance (along the counduit path) between each board and meter/power house
- the generator set up and location. the 10mm is most likely going to be run for the gen aswell.

The question about the TV cable would be...."coils of how many meters each ?" .. 10 is obviously not practical anyways.
