Tips that worked for me. Study this forum well, study your ds 160 well, do not lie, always make a sentence when asked a question don't just say yes or no, always related your answer to you returning back home, and finally pray pray pray

What state did you fill when you started the application, be sure the state you chose is the same as where you are requesting for your interview. You can't choose lagos, and put Abuja as your appointment

I scheduled my appointment to abuja for interview ( going for vacation ) but the next day I cancelled it and schedule it back to Lagos... Please I hope this will not affect me.

She wanted to invited me to USA but we are both confused on which way to go about it cus we have little knowledge about this stuff. That was why I came here if any one can enlighten me on best way to go about the visa stuff.. Weather she should come home and we do the intro and other stuff or invite me over. Meanwhile, she just left nija 4 month ago and won't be chance to come home till next yr due to her work. I will be happy if anyone here can advise and tell me which way we can make this work out. I choosed Lagos and put my appointment in abuja. But when I cancelled it now..I put Lagos as the state and Lagos as well for the appointment.

I'm an advocate for full transcripts but for duties at work, each applicant ought to be able to state what he does in his own language. That unique ness will make one stand out

"We have been out of touch and I made a mistake on the DOB."
Then everything is honest.

i just saw her printed form and discovered that the places the agent filled for her to visit in the US are actually destinations in the UK.

While filling the UK visa application form, you have to enter the complete details of what you plan to do during your stay in the UK.

The US is different. If you're visiting one or more U.S states, just enter the locations you'll be visiting and not things you'll do in the U.S during your visit. At the interview, you have the opportunity to give a comprehensive details of your visit to the VO about what you'll do in the US if asked.

If you're visiting Fla or NY for example; Location(s) you plan to visit in the U.S should be;

Location (1) Ney York City
Location (2) Orlando
Location (3) Tampa
Location (4) Palm beach

No fresh food/fish alloweed.
No seeds eg egusi. U should grind it.
No vegetables that can be replanted
Google for the list of accepted foods by customs and border patrol in the US for the comprehensive list
Remember to declare ALL you are carrying
