AN UPDATE Got this local at 14000 per bag yesterday at Trade Fair, Lagos, but the price is not encouraging yet and the only way to reduce the price is for every states, farmers to bring theirs into the market, the best they can produce because when the market is competitive, the price will forcefully go down. Secondly, the ministry of Agriculture should introduce an annual program that will be tagged THE RICE FESTIVAL/CARNIVAL, that is another way we can showcase the world our talents.

Nice one. Atleast to help alleviate our sufferings a little but they should try bringing the price dowm a little.

BTW,i don't support any rice festival shit as it would create an avenue for the leaders to chop more

The change in agriculture is happening through a dedicated and focused attack on rice imports. It is a welcome development.

Eventually competition will bring down the price, rice should not be above 9000-10000

I think the problem is when they inscribe the word LOCAL on the bag. Why don't they just write the names of our locally milled rice without emphasizing "local or stone free".

I have never seen an imported rice where the word FOREIGN is written on it. So why the word LOCAL?
