Have this occur to you that recently, most of our highly praise celebrity pastors are gradually becoming more of a MOTIVATIONAL SPEAKERS. Like there's nothing fresh out of God's mouth.

Motivation is good but it should come from the Holy Spirit. Through our faith in Christ Jesus(The word of God). Does motivation do the work for us self. No. It will charge us UP for some minutes and then after some minutes later, the energy is gone.

What happen to signs and wonder that has been given to those called by God for the unbelievers. Abi, Christ was motivating people during his own time ni? **Tell me, I want to know** A Word from God is different from Motivational Speaking. A word from God should be a SOLUTION. The next line of action.

Or,
is it only me that discover this Pastors(majorly new generation) have turn to motivational speakers. If this continue, then there is no need for people to come to Church again because there is nothing FRESH. Atheists will have more reason to say. its a SCAM! If I need motivation, it can come from anywhere: Books, People(not necessarily pastors), from events and situations/ environment we find ourselves.

People have various kind of problems and what they need is not motivational speech. They need Solution from God. Only a direct word from God will provide that. This is why people seek prophets/ seers or God face through fasting and prayer.

What is wrong?
Are these pastors scams or they are misplacing there priorities?

The worse culprits are those that punctuate every sentence with general declarations followed by the thunderous amen, if it works then he is a man of God, if not, the prophecy was not for you.

They are adapting to the needs of the times, trying to capture the people with sweet words they'd want to hear, instead of what they should hear.
Apostle Paul made reference to this when he was addressing the Christians at Corinth:

" And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God. For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling. And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God."

Motivational talk is easy.

Hearing the Spirit is the hardest part, and who wants to fast for 40 days (condition oneself) to be hearing the Spirit?

Its appalling to see,but its also a fulfillment of the scriptures.
That why u dont depent on any man for salvation,christianity is a personal relationship with God via his word.

Someone came to me and asked me how is my relationship with God, I answered "fine". He went on to whether I belong to any department or up to date on my tithe or attending services. This led me to share some enlightening scriptures with him.

Personally, I have seen so many with wickedness in their hearts doing all those things and I came to the conclusion that if you live according to Romans 13:8-10, then you have lived a life acceptable to God and only in that is your relationship with God fulfilling .
That passage is the summary of the Christianity Christ desired for the church. Mark 12:30, Matt 22:37, Luke 10:27

Now the problem is that people equate "love" to just meekness, No! If someone does something that is leading to harm, the best show of love might just be to punish the person not for just to make the person feel pain but to understand that the consequences of doing wrong and your aim should be correcting him.

Show me a person that does not plan evil to his neighbor or to take advantage of him to his selfish interest, then such a person is my brother irrespective of whatever denomination.

That's why I prefer old generation churches. They preach salvation, holiness and righteousness.
