Joavid:I believe taking drugs in sports is called doping. So, I doubt it's allowed for anyone to take drugs to stop cramps or delay periods |

Joavid:now the bolded is the most sensible answer to the question. so they take drugs to stop it during competition time. makes a whole lot of sense. i appreciate the answer Joavid |

safarigirl: not all drugs. I believe the kind of drugs they call doping are classified. All pain relievers cannot be doping. |

Joavid:yeah I dont think those type of drugs would be performance enhancers so it makes alot of sense that they would use those and would declare it in a form of what prescriptions they are using before the competition |

Game over. Not a bad game by Nigeria, but the brilliant play by Nigeria was always quenched by the ref. There seems to be a different set of rules when African teams play at these women world cups. 1 Like |

Nikyu Bala, Nigeria coach Because of the name that Brazil has in football, I think my players were frightened and didn't settle to play the way we know they can. Against another team, I'm sure they would have relaxed more and played better. But the first match in any competition is always difficult. We have played and lost and I see no point in being too hard on my goalkeeper and defence. My focus will be on getting ready and making preparations for our next match [against England]. Luizao, Brazil coach I always had high expectations for this match even though Nigeria are a great team. I trust in my team and we have been working for three years together, improving all the time. To win against a team like Nigeria is a great achievement. They attacked us strongly towards the end of the match but my defence handled the high balls very well and my goalkeeper also played well. The result makes us pretty proud and we were all very happy in the dressing room there. It will also increase our confidence for the tough matches ahead. We can all see the brazilian preparation compare to nigeria one week assembling without any international friendly. |

TheSuperNerd: Did u watch U17 team of 2008 and 2010 handled by Dedevdo? They were good and better team,, His team is always on point. I'm very sure this team will improve, they didn't have the much time to prepare and play intl friendly. |
Re: Nigeria Vs Brazil FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup 0 - 1 (Full Time) by kilo4sure: 5:30pm On Oct 01, 2016 |
lakesidepapa:That's what l complained about at the beginning, preparing for a tournament only by playing Amazon Babes or Osun Babes is not good enough. Also the Brazilian girls were always quick to fall, if we had played Columbia or Paraguay in a friendly for instance we certainly could have been aware of such tricks now and would have learnt how to deal with such. Anyway we would get better from now on l believe. |
Re: Nigeria Vs Brazil FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup 0 - 1 (Full Time) by lakesidepapa(m): 5:41pm On Oct 01, 2016 |
kilo4sure: Imagine.! They were going for intl. tournament and they were playing local club teams, does that even make any sense? When the like of cameroun were playing brazil and other teams for preparation. The problem comes from the management, our football is retro-grading under this pinnick, unlike in the days of Maigari. Let's hope they would improve as there's a room for improvement |

The girls are just strong with very little tactical awarerness. Can't see anything like coaching strategy or even a team shape in the team. They can't even string 5 passes together. They should enjoy their time in Jordan and return home. |

I watched both sides.... I am saying Dedevbo got "promoted". You expect him to handle both the U-17s and U-20s?? lakesidepapa: |

Well there we have it..... Nkiyu CAN NEVER BE Dedevbo.... Like you said, let's hope the next match see the girls step up. Today was so frustrating and the officiating didn't help. lakesidepapa: |

TheSuperNerd: U too know the difference. Dedevdo is very tactical wise and sound with tiki taka complete football but his team seldom-ly display error technically, that even cost us the loss of the previous U20 world cup to the Germans, they dominated the germans in and out. That was their first match, the girls were very nervous and eager to display what they were made of, they will improve. |
