I was at VFS yesterday to pick up my refusal package. Men!! I could even count the people I saw applying for visa. in fact I went to meet the man who stands at the entrance to attend to applicant asking him the reasons for the high refusal. He was like the fault is from the Embassy not VFS and he can't really tell what is going on. it is well o

Dear which month did u apply

Though you have a point.
I beg to disagree with you,
University of Manitoba and University of Saskatchewan have high applications because the have CHEAPER TUITION AND COST OF LIVING, and also the Accept a Second class Lower provided the last two years of full time study is high.

Dalhousie University in Novia Scotia is freaking Expensive
Lethbridge is also more expensive than Saskatchewan
University of Victoria requires a Second class upper, no exceptions.

Oga Economy hard, Canadain dollar is 230.51 to Naira.

Let them give a good application, the will be considered for admission. No be JAMB or ASUU matter.
This are organized institutions.

I'm not here to argue with you or anyone Sir, its just an advice just to increase applicants chances, let all Nigerians keep applying to both schools then

Peace!!!

Oga there is no way all Nigerians apply only to the 2 schools. undecided
Hasty Generalization.
How many Nigerians do you know undecided
Is it because a minute population on Nairaland forum are talking about the two schools, now that means every Nigerian is applying to University of Manitoba and University of Saskatchewan undecided

I'm not arguing with you either, but don't just come here and misinform people.
Whatever you think you know about Canada and admissions, some people here know more, some are even faculty members of Universities or permanent residents undecided

Shalom!!!

Please guys I have an issue here .
I'm 16 years old I was about to apply for my visa until myself and my parents realized I needed a custodian there in Canada . Now it would take 2 weeks to process . So I don't think I can apply for the visa till November 1st and my school resumes on the 5th of january . I'm kind of nervous as I don't know if I would make it on time or rather get the Study Visa on time without deferring my application .
If you have any suggestions please let me know .
What school are you going to?

With the exception of some courses, GRE is not needed.

However, if it is recommended as part of the application list, DO it and ACE it. You will probably be competing against Asians that are more than us and good with all these exams.

My advice to fellow admission seekers, if something is recommended and not compulsory as an admission requirement, fulfill it.
Shalom!

Who knows if U of Sask require student to pay his/her tuition fee before living Nigeria or you pay on your arrival at the school? Can see some people talking about doing medicals during the visa application, how much is th cost of doing the medical and at which hospital precisely? Please anyone to help list the required documents needed in checklist for student visa application when applying through paper route and how much is visa application for paper route package? Im planing to gather my document ASAP. Your contribution is highly appreciated. Thanks @everybody!

This is madness...at some point we'll have to address this madness!
why are they delaying visa application for 3 months! what are they investigating Some ppl actually need their international passport to go to work (offshores), even for visiting visas, they cant afford to stay way from their passport for a months! A friend had to call back his documents when he applied for a Visa and it took eternity for them to make a decision! US Visas has never been this stressful.

you will put ppl in months of unimaginable suspense! yet i hear ppl are denied!

Nigeria processing times - 15 weeks
~ 4months!

Na wa o

Frostbaby yours will be a success IJN...we eagerly await your testimony.

Nope.
My supervisor advised I defer it to May, 2017 considering the VISA processing time (15 Weeks), May so that I can have more time to settle in PG, BC before the large cohort of student resume in Sept, 2017. However, I would be applying as soon as my new offer letter is out. Thanks for asking.
