Was the process initiated online? I have paid #500 online for the name availability check since the first of October but yet to get a response from CAC up till now

Those whom register online how will they get their certificate considering this country we are anything can happen ...hope it won't be like finish processing and wait until thy kingdom come just to get your certificate.

I will advice you from experience, if you just starting a business please dont start with a limited liability company, start with a business name, the different is just the name.
1. As a sole properitorship you are not required to pay company tax but if you are a limited liability company, you will be paying about 30% income tax to government, plus VAT, plus personal income tax, as a start up this might not be too good for you. But with a business name, you are registered, you are allowed to do any business of your choice.,

So for a start, go for business name, then when your business grows, you can then change to a limited liability company.

They usually respond within 48 hours, but the response doesnt come in form of emails, it is done on their site, quickly log in to the site, go to your account/dashboard , under the name reservation, you will see the name you have chosen and the status. if the name was rejected, you will have to do another search which cost extra 500
