I don't see anything wrong with the name "Tecno". She should just say she can't afford it period. People are still buying tecno phones nevertheless.

Phantom 6 is indeed tempting, but I will rather stick with my reliable Samsung.

But seriously tecno phones are classy, depending on what your definition of "class" is. Gone are those days when Tecno phones are regarded are useless and chinkosh, Tecno have upgrade their phones.

My guess is that he hasn't used the phone and is awed by the specs he is seeing online.
Another theory would be that he got a chance to experience the phone.....totally loved it, but faced a cognitive dissonance of sorts.

You know tgat situation where you like something but then you still have one major obstacle that's stopping you from accepting that thing fully.

They'll keep releasing phones but they won't send OTA to the phone. That's why top oems are better. These Chinese oems will just release another device instead.

I think the fact that Tecno as a brand has been improving over the years should not be forgotten. We should look at the features the phone has and not the name of the device. The phantom phones are superb

You've said it all. This particular brand has been getting better since their foray into the market couple of years back. Steadily Improving too. Name or no name, I believe Tecno is now a reliable brand.

TEKNO should be an ambassador for TECNO. All in favour of the motion say "Aye!" The eyes have it!

Some people don't just know what to say online.

The Phantom 6 is still a crappy phone, the 6 Plus though might be worth it but don't forget that you won't get OTA when you do, so no Nougat 7.0 for you.

Seriously. I have read, seen and heard a lot about Techno phones. They have tried and its a nice product, but once I see that name; TECNO boldly written on it, I get discouraged.

The name TECNO means palasa to me. I guess its because their earliest phones were a total mess and the exclusive preserve of abo,kis. The thing was just a noise conductor.

This impression needs to be changed. Tecno's first line of products were basically made to be affordable and to provide people the luxury of using a mobile phone as at when phones where highly priced.

This is true. They make great devices but because we all want ourselves to be perceived as big girls/boys, we prefer the iPhones and Samsung offering almost same funtionalities.

The problem is I see with some people is an inherent desire to keep dwelling in past.

I used to be a staunch critic myself until I had an experience of using one of the latest devices.

Truth is, Tecno as a brand has moved on from it's humble beginnings and people should learn to do the same. It doesn't matter if some stubbornly refuse to smell the coffee, the brand has for a long run been a best-seller in Nigeria and Africa and it's more than likely to be at that point time and again.
