It is undoubtedly in our culture to rise to the defense of our friends/family no matter the gravity of their offense, personally I consider this defense approach a weak one capable of raising more questions and causing more damage than good, the writer should have demonstrated more thinking skills than coming up with the "do not judge" point. If we all agreed we would not judge then all our courts could as well closed shop and the judges would all go back to their villages, Abacha, Gaddafi, Hitler, Anini, all boko boys would have simply quote Luke 17 vs 1.
