You are correct though, voting has been on for about two three weeks. As at Wednesday last week, some of the biggest states have had 25%-50% of their total voters voted already. Clinton is ahead, but it is still close. Trump leads in Ohio and more swing states.

Hillary Clinton would win but she does not have something spectacular to offer, and can't do more than what Obama did.

It's just because Obama was elected the President in 2008 and 2012 and made history, they decided that a female should be President this time.
