The recently concluded MTV EMAs Awards saw Nigeria and Africa’s biggest Artiste at the moment, Wizkid bag two major awards for Best African Act and Worldwide Act adding to his list of International Awards this Year.

However, while Nigerians and Africans were busy celebrating Wizkid for his recent fit, Tanzanians went on to Social Media to claim that one of their Favorite Artiste “Alikiba“, who was also nominated for Best African Act  deserved to win the award and not Wizkid, some claimed that Wizkid “Bought the Awards”, even that of MAMAs.

This didn’t go down well with Nigerians who also took their time to lash out at Tanzanians, sayiing that “No one even knows Alikiba”

It should be recalled that Wizkid and Alikiba had an incident last month at a show that Chris Brown headlined in Tanzania, with the latter claiming to be the bigger Artiste and not the former.

Inferiority complex is the reason behind this. They consider Nigeria as the powerhouse of entertainment in Africa which explains why they are accusing the organisers of favouritism. The truth of the matter is that when ranking artistes in Nigeria, Alikiba can't come in the 1st 10.... he isn't up to Patoranking, Davido, Olamide.... etc. He might be highly connected with politicians in his country but here in Nigeria, there is a standard. Not only you are connected to the high and mighty from the top politicians to the organisers of the events, you must have a song that have blown the minds of the away which other African countries have failed to realise.
If Wizkid announce that his next musical tour will be at Tanzania tomorrow, I'm very sure that their president and his cabinet will welcome him at the airport and also host him in his palace but can that happen to Alikiba in Nigeria? Its like comparing Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo with Ahmed Musa.... saying that Musa was robbed off Balon d'or..... He no reach abeg.....
Alikiba... did you know that Drake asked for remix of Ojuelegba, still featured him in his one dance track which will still win Grammy(lol)....
