Dear All, Please is it true that one have to pay (80-100K) for land information on a land to confirm if the land require C of O or governor consent in lagos state. |

Dear lawyer and other legal gurus in the house. I will be very grateful if someone can advise regarding the following. Is it legally acceptable for a seller to sell a property with 2 wings ( semi detached duplexes) to two different buyers without first doing the deed of subdivision/ partition? And if so, should the seller or buyer be responsible for cost? Although the whole property in magodo shangisha has a c of o from the original owner of the land, and the current owner/seller has a registered deed of assignment in his name, all the available documents are all for the whole property as opposed to individual titles for each wing of the two semi detached duplexes' As a novice, I do not think the seller has a "fully" perfected title to sell the two wings separately. I think the law only sees the whole property as one, as opposed to two separate wings (although attached by a common wall- semi detached). I may be wrong though |
