I think it's word processor, don't know what the S stands for but it's just like Microsoft word but WPS is on fone .

My story plot is winding into sub plots that would require more characters. My heart ache is how my readers will easily identify with new characters.

I dnt want a scene where someone says 'Where the hell did he pop out from?
i cant take it, my head will scatter.

You need to lose them and the best way is to kill them off. Real life is not a bed of roses, if killing is too much, take them out by

- giving them a new job faraway
- sick relative
- new opportunities abroad
- terminal illness that they can recover from.

You are right though too many characters will give you a headache, you will need a white board to keep track.

But it doesn't mean you can't pull it off, i.e. the numerous sub plots.
