what do you mean by "usual egocentric mentality that ya'll are known for"? Did you call him out when he said that someone who's been handling the economy of Lagos (the sate with the highest IGR in the country) since 2007 isn't doing anything special? Very typical of you and your kind. You'd never quote him to object to what he said, but would rather quote another person who stated a very clear fact... You can't even hide your tribalistic tendencies, can you?

Shu..t up
Whatever you put/pulled up there is base on assumptions except you can prove it.
Lagos as big as it is can not be managed by one man.

No doubt the OP made some valid points up there. It is quite simple to understand: each ethnic group or tribe have a particular area they excel in; and sadly, the SW have proven they can't manage a complex economic system like Nigeria. This is not a case for tribal insults and rhetorics; the facts are there on ground. You kept on screaming everywhere that GEJ and NOI were not good administrators of the economy, and just within a year you were given the responsibility (after taken almost 8 months to choose the best hands you want to work with),you've taken the country many years backward. Someone above said Ben Akabueze is not doing anything special in Lagos, but we've heard that kind of empty talk many times that everybody knows how big a sentimental lie it is. Simple experiment: remove him (Ben) and bring in one of your numerous "educated quacks" and watch how fast Lagos will turn to Osun state. By the way,the Op never mentioned Igbos; he only said Southeasterners. So need to bring in Igbos exclusively to this.

Trash. Akinyemi Ashade is the comm for economic planning and budget in Lagos and the state is still standing tall till now.

While you're at it, please list those Igbo-owned Industries in Lagos and the SW you keep bragging about that can come close to Yorubas' in the region.

I guess to your sick mind the following SW based industries are Igbo-owned: Honeywell Flour Mills, GZI Industries, ProForce, Elizade, Bi-Courtney, Eleganza Group, Folawiyo Group, Petro Inett, Modandola Group, Manucom Fishing, Aiico Insurance, the Yoruba-owned banks, Insurance Companies, e.t.c. Even SME's (interestingly, after Lagos state, Oyo has the highest number of SME's in the country, higher than any SE state) we are comfortably in the lead. You know what SME's stand for right? And how many individuals you must employ to qualify as one?) all located in Yorubaland. Also kindly List the number of Insurance companies players that are Igbo-owned dominating Yorubaland or Nigeria in general.

List the Banks that Igbos dominate that are more than the Yoruba-dominated/controlled Skye Bank, First Bank, Sterling Bank, GTBank, FCMB, e.t.c.

List the Telecoms Company that are Igbo-owned/dominated like Yoruba-owned/controlled Globacom and NTel

List the I.T businesses that are Igbo dominated that can stand the likes of Spectranet, CCHub, MainOne

Which Igbo-owned businesses can match the dominance of Yoruba-controlled Oando, ConOil, and Forte Oil?

Chicken Republic, TFC, Tantalizers, Sweet Sensation, Mega Chicken are owned and controlled by Yorubas.

The only Transport segment Igbos dominate is that of buses that convey their kinsmen between YOrubaland and the SE. Yorubas control the SW internal routes, e.g. When I take a bus from Lagos to Abeokuta or Ibadan, 9 out of 10 times the owner of the Bus is a Yorubaman and not an Igboman, so get your facts straight.

In a nutshell, Yorubas already dominate the Big Businesses and industries that count, e.g Finance, Oil & Gas, I.T, Telecoms, Insurance, Manufacturing & Industry, e.t.c. It would be unfair of us to dominate everything so we've left them the crumbs like dominating the Super-Eagles, Gala Hawking , spare-parts bizness, Selling DVD/VCD at Alaba, Entertainment (though Yorubas dominate the Music scene, while we comfortably have our indigeneous Film industry on lockdown as well ), transporting your kinsmen to-and-from the SE to Yorubaland, e.t.c. Your people can keep dominating those. But even Commerce/trading sef una don dey dump that one sef for drug-trafficking.

Yinmu. Imagine this illiterate naming Alaba and Ladipo traders and newspapers. cheesy. I might as well have listed Yoruba masons, carpenters, tailors, taxi drivers, welders, plumbers and other artisans. Wetin concern me with these 'pure water' businesses (as Ifeanyi Uba himself described such igbo businesses) listed here? All those businesses put together are not even worth up to Globacom alone, not to mention Oando. Dangote's investments in Lagos and Ogun trumps igbo businesses put together yet we don't hear any noise. Before Innoson came into existence, Proforce located at Ogun state had been manufacturing military vehicles and gears for the FG without making as much noise as you loudmouth empty vessels. The Yoruba owned businesses and industries in various sectors in Yorubaland including Lagos dwarfs this useless list you put up there. If that is the best you all have to offer then una kere si number. Go back and come up with something more impressive.

That money is more than enough to offset her debt and leave some change.
