Commissioned officer: A stage where you are an officer or oga as the case may be.

Non commissioned: Foot soldiers who usually do the dirty work.

It's views like these that bring disrepute to ranks in the military.... Go get yourself enlightened before you come here to talk what you dinono.....

You never see colonel and general for battle field

I didn't mean that they also cannot be on the field.
That a principal heads a school and has teachers does not mean she herself cannot teach classes.

But thanks for your opinion.

Actually what he wrote is the bitter truth.
Military is divided into 2 groups and 4 sub groups.

1) Officers
2) Ratings

Officers are commissioned cadets from NDA while Ratings are recruits from the Army training school.

Ratings hv a ZERO likelihood of Attaining the highest ranking of a Marshall. And yes ratings are expendable. Sad but that is the TRUTH

commissioned as Pilot Officer and can attain the highest rank possible Those are appointments meant for chosen people on certain rankslol Do you have an "army" that can actually do anyhing about it? In simple terms, commissioned officers are the senior officers jus like we have SSS and JSS in secondary school wink

What's tha business?

The basic and most important difference is LEVEL OF AUTHORITY!

This is for the army NOT airforce!...In the airforce, its pilot officer, and six months later, he will be promoted to flying officer...He can rise to the highest rank possible, ie if he survives.

nice information. all are deadly to civilians. don't mess up with the least they can kill you
In other climes, these guys are trained to protect their people but here in Nigeria, we must fear and worship them. I sat next to two recruits are they were recounting with glee how they torture and humiliate ordinary Nigerians. I was sickened to my stomach. I glared at them with disdain and just had to leave them. Crazy set

He actually meant 'army depot'...They are NOT the same man!!...NDA is for officer, in the capacity of a university, whose degrees are approved by NUC, while depot is a military training facility for NCOs (other ranks...six-nine months trainning).
