We got lucky with Robbery, the odds of getting players at that price with such quality in today's environment is nil. Who do we even go for? Our scouts are also not doing their job methinks. How did we miss out on Dembele? I think we need to start monitoring that Ligue 1 more closely

I agree with most of what you posted. We have let too many players slip through our fingers because we always have Robbery to bail us out. Without Robbery I dont think a wing of Costa and Coman will take us beyond elite teams in Europe. Even with the tier 2 teams we will still struggle . That was why I probably think extending Ribery was a mistake.

Our managements have been very risk averse they didnt want to gamble on Draxler, they didnt want to gamble on Carrasco now they blow and are going for fees out of our reach.

For Dembele, I think we made a move but given he was a youngin, he preferred a club where he will have a lot of minutes week in week out
