Toefl is one of the easiest exams you get to write . .... and then if u dedicate some time to practice questions a good score is almost certain . As long as you have a good command of english
femi321:
its even easier to hear american accent than for them to understand your own accent. Like someone said try to talk clearly and slowly. its understandable that you are scared and tensed but trust me,the Skype thing is not hard. most of them are very friendly. additionally you could have written TOEFl. its a piece of cake and this will give you a good chance if you want a TA or GA.
Walspring:

You don't need to be afraid just be calm and open your ear and listen very well, am sure you will understand the American accent and also do not for American accent should in case on you want reply their questions

Thanks a lot. I really appreciate. I will also register for TOEFL.

Good thing you asked in advance before applying. More reason prospective applicants need to connect with the programs way ahead of time. Good luck.

Yeah. Thanks boss.

Thanks a lot. I am just a little bit afraid of listening to and comprehending American accent.

You should be okay. Don't be afraid to ask them to go over any question you don't understand. African american accent is trickier if you're not used to it.

I've submitted required documents for my application but left with transcript. My undergraduate school has been on strike and deadline to submit all documents is closer, how can I talk to the graduate school to accept unofficial transcript from me?

I'm still a student sha. Today's meeting was nothing to write home about. ..ASUU still adamant...imagine 8months faa

Maybe you should just try and e-mail the school and explain the state of things explicitly. And that when the school resumes they would forward it.

Which rich? They are so carried away by the pictures and the bright views. I literally went off social media and changed my number cos I was getting too many overwhelming messages even from people I don't know, asking me about how they can come here or telling me to send money.

I still use my naira master card here. Atleast I stopped after the exchange rate went crazy. Well, that helped my spending. I don't know my issues with clothes and shoes. I buy now, I hate in two weeks.

How the hell will you come to America with $300. There is no Aluta in US. You don't pay fees, you get purged out straight.

Na too much money. Perhaps you fit sow am for people wey dey stranded life. It is unfortunate that although many want a good escape route, they do not plan it well for themselves.

Please my people, I have a concern.
Some of my colleagues were discussing about tax Withholding
earlier and said they do not pay any taxes due to one treaty agreement
between their countries and the US. They are from China and Indonesia.
They told me they had to fill one form to effect this. I went to the business manager
and she said she can only do it if US has a similar agreement with Nigeria.
After doing some online findings, I found this link: https://www.irs.gov/businesses/international-businesses/united-states-income-tax-treaties-a-to-z
I saw South Africa there and did not find Nigeria.
Does anyone have any idea about this? Does Nigeria have any treaty like this with the US?
