Your assertion might not be totally right....You travelled to Kano on a Tuesday at month end....and you were expecting a full flight?

You might not be correct though!!!

To be honest it has little to do with the recession. It has a lot to do with Arik's attitude towards their passengers. A lot of people has stopped patronising them.

Nigerians can survive anything. This shall pass over too.
Actually, there is a limit to what you can survive. We will likely not survive this as a United Nigeria. The reasoning is simple. We are in recession, but there is no Plan and blueprint on how to come out of the recession. We might face depression. Then, it will start with tenants not being able to pay rents, they become homeless. Then idle housewives will start 'begging' landlords in their bedrooms. Daughters will assist their Dads as breadwinners by 'hurstling'. Sons will loose jobs and start doing 'anything' to survive. Oh...Its already happening.

The recession certainly has affected patronage as much as the route not being a very popular one.

this is not recession at its peak.

due to poor services, arik air has lost customers and people hardly fly with them.

if na by recession, most airlines would be counting losses na.

Let me tell you something. I prefer to enter a night bus(not because of money) than fly arik. My sister was to travel to Ghana last month with her infant(5months) baby. Arik flight for 5.00pm didn't take off until like 2.30am the second day. imagine the number of hours passengers were stranded? That wasn't the bombshell. When they got to Ghana, they were all told that their luggage(all passengers that flew fromLagos) were left behind in Lagos for no reasonable and explainable reason. For two days they didn't send their luggage from Lagos to them. She had to spend almost 80% of the money she had on her to buy few things for herself and the baby for two days. Maybe you can check the exchange rate between NAIRA AND CEDI to understand what I meant by that line. Arik has lost credibility and a number of loyal passengers are already flying better airlines.

You dey mind them. Very useless airline. I would rather enter chisco overnight travel for 8hours to Lagos than enter Arik that a flight of 8.00am won't take off until 4.00pm if not totally cancelled.

Arik Air is a mess. Who uses them again? With several delays and cancellations, who would want to fly with them?! Even Abuja to Lagos route wasn't full this weekend.

That's the way out for lazy ones and people that can't put their brains to work. With God on your side(if you believe in him) and hard work with brain tasking you will survive this recession. There are people smiling to banks in this recession. I know number of farmers alone buying jeeps in hundreds last year December. If you open your eyes well bro, there are greater opportunities out there. I'm a living testimony of such.

The op no get sense. You think its recession? Arik has the most useless customer service in the history of airlines. People actually stopped flying them. I bet you've not been reading about how they treat their customers. No worry, very soon you too will stop flying them.

Vex ke? I went with a billionaire that has never flown economy in his life before to abuja airport. he was on his way to lagos already booked. The second day after 2016 budget was approved that top politicians came to Abuja and were on their way back to Lagos was that very day. his business class seat was swapped for a politician. He was asked to join economy. He told the lady at the front desk that if you know me and my worth; that I can feed 10 of that very politician for the next 10 years with their families, you wouldn't have done that. I shook my head for Arik that day. That man has bn flying Arik business class all his life and they did that to him.

This has nothing to do with the recession. Arik kept on cancelling and post poning flights until they lost their credibility. I know someone whose flight was rescheduled 5 times until he just decided to book another airline. I heard that their staffs were protesting or something. I hope they have a good come back plan.

Re: Recession Bites Hard, My Experience On Arikair Yesterday by Nobody: 11:30am On Feb 01, 2017
This is very true. i travelled from Abuja to Lagos on monday this week, suprisingly, we were not more than 30 in the whole plane. coming back from lagos to Abuja that same evening, they combined flight of 1:30pm, 3pm and 6:30pm and we all still weren't upto 20 in the plane. We finally left Lagos around 9pm although some persons went to collect their monies back.

My take is that Poor Services + Recession is killing Arik.

And by the way, Medview and Air Peace were all having full flights same day.

I came to kano yesterday from lagos through Arik Air, But my reaction when i entered the plane was so disappointing. We were not more than 15 on the plane and the plane can contain more than 100 passengers. I wonder where this economic recession might take us to.
its not recession.. arik has poor customer service and people are realising that

abeggi my brother let's accept truth for once. No matter how u want to survive dis recession it can never be like when we weren't in recession. Some persons afford three square meal before but now just two. Some could afford two but now once, they only eat n go to sleep at night. If all is well with u as a result of ur hard work, a lot of persons are suffering. Nigeria should be returned to her formal glory. Our naira should be returned to its formal glory. It doesn't mean we are lazy na

I agree with some of your points my bro. But if God opens a way for you in this recession, you will change your language. I will still say this bro, some people are making it big in this recession. I mean people that were nothing before. And recession is not and shouldn't be an excuse for sleeping with landlord or prostitution.

Maybe Dropshot and sarrki, will tell us that the days of travelling by air are gone..... You know how they say it.

No.!!! Dropshot will tell us that "in our hearts, we know that things got this bad because of GEJ" .... HOW UNFORTUNATE! Maybe because we are all corrupt..

What's the word sef,... Kwaurraftion is fighting back...
