Parents/Custodians in Edo state need to really stop pressurising their children/wards with comments like "No be your mates dey send dollars give their mama" "No be your mate build that house" "your mates dey hustle for Italy" etc. and all those commenta that push youths from the state to their brutal deaths in the Sahara, Hands of Libyans or the Mediterranean sea.

The government is a reflection of the people in the society.
The people either elected them or allow them rule.
Have you seen our participation rate in elections?
We should own up and blame ourselves.

This is horrible

The worst part is there are no agency to help these immigrants.

African should change their thinking, especially Nigerian, There is so much to achieve in a country like Nigeria or Africa once you work hard.

The whites success template is all over the net, and yet some people complain of not doing it right.
We as a society owes ourselves and our future generation to make a country that is free from corruption, hate and religious violence.

there are so many business that they could have started with 450k in Nigeria. without going out to risk their lives undecided undecided

its just like selling all your properties for a UK masters and ending up jobless after two years.

people should think out of the box
If trump ban Muslims from entering US he will be call names but if Muslims in their countries kill immigrants the victim will be blamed

Some persons are just purely stupid. You have a business that has given you a 4 bedroom bungalow, yet you choose to get rid of that prospering life and embark on an illegal journey to your destruction. When will people learn to be content with what they have even as they strive to achieve more?

He is not silly.
He is a typical Nigerian. He heard of people making cool cash for example N20k per day in a tile factory. He whipped out his calculator, punched some numbers, extrapolate in a year and bingo! Off to Libya. One mistake-- he forgot to read the fineprints. The content of the fineprints is what is staring them in the face.

Many guys have been led to untimely death by the tales of "have beens" who show up in fancy cars and clothes to paint pictures of fabricated and embellished fancy lives they live abroad.

I won't blame his attempt if not for the violence in Tripoli and Libya as a whole.

He makes 21k per day, times 30 days is 630k and I can boldly tell u cost of living in north Africa is low.

As a MAN, u must take some certain risk in life and not sit down there feeding mummy's milk. smiley

Can you give me a business plan of a business and the profitability line in Nigeria of today? When other established businesses are collapsing day after day

I feel we should be awake to the realities of our problems in Nigeria. The story of the guy is actually touching, and my prayer always is that our leaders who have led us into this mess will always have regrets in their lives until they do the needful for us.

If you call him silly for 'running out' of Nigeria with 450k which he should've invested in Naija then I'll say you are being too harsh.
Nigeria can frustrate the living daylight out of you even with N4m.

There are lots of people with more money but don't know how best to invest them. That was why mmm would continue to scam them

I'm angry that he chose to travel through Libya with all the news of xenophobia from arabs against blacks and news of migrants drowning in the Mediterranean Sea trying to cross to Italy.

Libya has been a no go area for black Africans even during Gadaffi's regime. It got worse and horrible after his death. Any black African going there with the intention of crossing the sea to enter Europe is madder than mad.

For those who know their history, before Europeans came and enslaved Africans, the Arabs had a flourishing slave business trading in black people.

For those who don't know, in Arab culture blacks are seen as inferior.

Instead of you to stay and develop your country, you de sell your house cheaply for someone to kill you. Idiots.

Black & indigenous tribes ve always been slaves around the would. Europeans are the worst. Alot of countries they occupy today are not theres. They depopulated the people and claim dir lands turn them 2 slaves in there own lands. E.g newzeland, autralia, america, canada etc.

I prayed our leaders could all work together to make this country a better place for all. Guys won't need to ba taking such risk to travel out because they want to go and survive.

And what are the basic things we require from our leaders? Not much though,

* Good road
* at least 50% supply daily of electricity.
* Security, and good management of ethnic problem, especially with the roaming about of Fulani herdsmen.
* good accountability of their stewardship.

Are this four things too much for them to provide nii?

God please help us from self slavery system.

If we say come and protest against bad governance now, they'll say they cannot come and chop bullet. But you can go to another man's country and chop bullet for nothing. You can go to another man's country just to drown in the Mediterranean. If you truly feel all hope is gone and you have nothing more to lose, channel your frustration to the govt causing you pain. The only place you can never be a refugee in the real sense is your country.
