There are two whois; the one you are talking about is a brandable registrar - whois.com; where you can register domain names and the second whois which is the original WHOIS - is the place you can check for domain registrant and other details about domain names.

Yes but if the domain is parked, don't click on any of those ads to avoid your account being terminated.

if you go for one year reg, and that domain didn't sell, it's left for you to either renew it or drop it however as a domainer, go for one year reg fee which is $8.99. if your domain got the basic requirements including rich CPC and competition, nothing stops you from selling it within weeks or months.

Nameservers. But if just changed, you have to wait between 24 to 48 hrs for everything to be fully resolved.

How do I pay for domain names. My bank Diamond isn't supporting international debit card usage. FCMB charges about N500/$ which way too high compared to the official rate and charges by GTB and Access...which unfortunately i do not have either of them.

I don't think that any bank can charge you that amount for International transations. For example GTBank Charge the main official rate of less than 325 NGN per dollar. duly confirm from your bank's customer support or get a GtBank ATM card.

confirm from the settings under change name servers. make sure that the two name servers were properly changed to your preferred parking company or marketplace. Eg bodis name servers are;
NS1.BODIS.COM AND
NS2.BODIS.COM
Once this is properly done adverts will be placed all over the domain in less than 24 to 48 hrs after ownership verification.

Got some deposit in that account and I had to speedily go and disconnect the FCMB details from the Facebook they run me down.

My worry is that to get a GTB card, I need to open a new account. Not sure in really want that now, before they start trailing me as a fraudster.

what's their reason for this? you can easily open an account with a GtBank Branch around you. Nothing to worry about so far you're not using your account/card for illegitimate schemes.

Go open a savings account with Access bank and apply for a Visa debit card. When you get the card, go to any ATM and change the I-PIN, that done you can then use the card to pay for any stuff online.

You can also link the card to your Nigerian PayPal account so that you can pay using the PayPal details instead of typing in the card details all the time when paying online.

The card can also be linked to your Payza account.

The card works wonders, it has never failed me provided I have funds in my Access bank account. The card currently charges N324 to $1.

thanks man, with what have read on this thread posted by gurus like u, high CPc ND traffic, and some oda factors, are good for parking, I don't mind selling tooin as far as the domain is generating some cash every month even if it's not much am not in rush.

What matters is the quality and the importance of your domain to the individual or company and not the email you used. that's is a clear misinformation. but even if you need a private email address ie yourname@yourdomain.com, there's a way to do that for absolutely free provided you own a domain name. though not every registrar supports this.

yes...... I don't know about namecheap supporting this feature, but dotster, alpnames and most registrars gives this service for absolutely free once you bought a domain name from them.
