Since his loan spell at Bordeaux was so successful why did Liverpool confine him to their U23s when he came back?
Why didn't he make a single appearance for a rubbish Aston Villa team?
Why didn't 19 other premiership managers consider him good enough to get a look in? Who wouldn't want to have a world class centre back at just £3M?
Why didn't Bordeaux come back for his services since he had a lovely time out there?
How many CBs have Japp Stam discovered and turned into world class?

Questions, questions, questions grin

Obviously, you don't know anything about Tiago hence the rounabout talk talk. grin

Firstly, you alluded he did not have a successful spell at Bourdeaux and he didn't get more than 700 minutes of game; Your assumptions are preposterous.

Now, you are alluding once again that he was bundled from Bourdeaux straight to Liverpool U23. This is also preposterous. grin

The facts showed that he was loaned to Aston Villa that played in the Premeir League last season, and don't tell me you expected Aston Villa to be relegated after all the spending at the beginning ot last season. shocked

It seeems you don't follow football, right? you are calling Aston Villa Rubbish. Seriouly, you don't know nader about the Premeirship. Sorry, no offence intended, just stating the obvious.

Why he didn't play was due to injury and Liverpool recalled him back the season finished last season. grin Meaning he don't stay there throughout the whole season. He featured for Liverpool afterwards. grin

How many Super Easgle defender worth 500k pounce? grin

Why he didn't go back to Bourdeaux is simple because he loves England. That's all.

When did Jaap Stam start coaching for him to have done so well i the Championship? grin

You can never discredit his ability as coach because you wan prove point.

Coaching and managerial career[edit]

In 2011, Stam became an assistant coach for PEC Zwolle, a position he held for two seasons after Kieron Hogendoorn vacated the role.

Following his stint with Zwolle, Stam took a three-year contract with Ajax as an assistant coach, and as defensive trainer starting in the 2013–14 Eredivisie season.[15]

On 13 June 2016, Stam was appointed as manager of English Championship side Reading on an initial two-year contract.[16]

Well let's say I know zero, absolutely nada like you said about football. But it's obvious you're doing a damn wack job teaching me football by trying to make me believe playing 12 games in a football season represents having a good season.

In my limited football knowledge I know the Aston Villa team of last season were the worst side ever in the Premiership. A side which could only manufacture just 28 clear cut chances all season.
A side which conceeded 65+ goals all season?
Thiago Ilori for all the love you show him could not make 1 appearance for such a team is depressing to say the least.

For someone who claims to know football to rate this kind of team is absolutely shocking to an olodo like me grin

Prove to me that Bordeaux wanted Thiago back but he preferred signing for Championship side Reading.

I challenged you to name CBs whom Stam have trained to stardom, since you want to play the all knowing Japp Stam card but you haven't or you couldn't grin
Teacher no teach me nonsense grin

Forgiveness,

In most matters statistics are indicators not absolutes to rely on them entirely is misleading.

Nobody knows anybody which gives this forum great credibility in my opinion. The things I say here I cannot say with my name attached to it without causing myself a whole heap of trouble if not downright litigation.

Forget the stats. Some cold facts Klopp has limited contact with Ilori relying on reports from the U23 coaches. Liverpool fc training ground at Melwood is probably 7/8 miles away from the Kirkby training ground of the academy. So unless he proves himself credible and capable na U23 he go dye rotten.

You may think I don't know much, because I am anonymous. But I do match and player analysis and I have seen Ilori play live several times. And for me he was well packaged. He simply not good enough for Eagles, end d tory.

Forget Stam you don't know what went on to make the deal happen and or the clauses and intricacies of the contract with the appended payment terms. I remember when Wenger was conned to buy the useless Francis Jeffers the rest is history. Stam buying him for £10 or £10 million doesn't make him good this is football business.

He has been well over taken not by one but by several teenagers who were literally in thier nappies when he came to Liverpool. Sorry to say but as Igbo man go say, leave matter, Bad Market

By the way spent the last week at PSV infact still here now, one of Stam's former clubs you could say the club that made him and with a few of thier coaches and thier approach is quite interesting with regard to these matters.

One other matter Villa where the whipping boys of the premiership last season and of the FA cup by championship sides and even lower. Basically Villa were Rubbish last season and deserved to go down and they are know where near to coming up lying 17th in the championship and 6 points off relegation.

This proposed formation by owngoal.

I like the backline and midfield. It just reminded us that Leone Balogun also plays RB.

But how can they replace Victor Moses with Sone Aluko. Aluko can also play RWF but in that position he is not in same class as Victor Moses.

If we must try Aluko we should give him a short at the AM position and my suggested front line in this case would look like:

...................Iheanacho

Iwobi..............Aluko........V. Moses.

However, my preferred forwards line is still:

.............Iheanacho

Etebo.......Iwobi........V. Moses.

Good morning all.

My preference is for your first formation Aluko has a quite a bit more in my opinion as well as experience at the top level.

Iwobi is just coming in and yes lots of ability and potential but Aluko is a lot more experienced but with more scoring prowess and guile. That little bit extra that mental resilience that wins matches when the going gets tough.

I would like to add another option in attack sometimes Iheanacho lacks presence and cannot impose himself on defenders if we need to get physical and or you are playing with a lone striker. I wish we had a Balotelli, a Drogba (but with speed) to carry the forward line. Possibly a fully fit Anichebe (injury prone so not sure) for me KC is a false no.9.

Zulte-Waregem Converts Eagles Defender Madu To Left Winger, Nominated For POTM Award

Super Eagles deputy left full back Kingsley Madu has been converted to a left winger by the coach of his Belgian side Zulte- Waregem, Owngoalnigeria.com understands.

Madu has failed to dislodge regular left back Brian Tomming Hamalainen since his move to the team in the summer, although he has replaced the Dane on several occasion.

Manager Frank Dury who rates the Nigerian highly had to devise a way of accommodating him in his team, hence the decision to push him upfront as a left winger.

The Nigerian scored a sublime goal from the new role in a recent friendly tie against Borussia Monchengladbach, a goal which according to many formed the basis of his nomination for the Club’s Player Of The Month Award.

Since joining the Belgian side from AS Trencin, Madu has made seven league appearances for the high flying team while he has played in all of their four games in the Cup, where he has a goal registered to his name.

owngoalnigeria.com/2017/02/18/zulte-waregem-converts-eagles-defender-madu-to-left-winger-nominated-for-potm-award/

I have always seen the guy as more of a winger than a LB.

Iwobi brings more creativity and versatility.

Yes I agree that Aluko is more experienced and may also be more resilient.

But when the opposing defense gets tough and too hard to break-down a very creative number 10 like Iwobi is what you need.

Talking about scoring abilities I would not just give it to Aluko. I know u came to ur conlusion abt his goals scoring prowess from that 2-2 draw against South Africa. But remember Iwobi opened scoring for Nigeria in this WC Qualifiers.

Have you followed this Aluko properly this guy is more skilful than Iwobi forget where he is playing at Fulham.

If this guy is in the Eagles he will give us multiple dimensions and he can score. Forget his stats put him in Arsenal now and he will be hailed like the new Bergkamp.

Watch him, I have over a long period blighted by injury somewhat and being in carpenter teams with emphasis on endeavour not guile and trickery he has been limited.

But this new Manager at Fulham Slaves has got them playing slick, technical and effective football with Aluko central to thier resurgence.

Watched them live a few month ago at Blackburn and it was like watching Barcelona. Admittedly thier limited squad couldn't cope with a fired up Tottenham looking for revenge after two defeats. Fulham's left back is 16 years old tells you something about squad strength.

I know Omatsone Aluko very well.

I saw him play for Nigeria's Flying Eagles at Egypt 2009.

I saw him in full view all through when he played for Hull City.

He is in the Championship now and so I have not watched much of him but his full seasons wilth Hull before they got relegated was enough for me to fully know Sone Aluko. He may have more dribbling skills but he does not not have the Iwobi's kind of ball control, he does not have Iwobi's ball passing ability, Iwobi also has an excellent eye for locating his players who are position. Aluko does a lot of dribbling yes but what is usually the success rates?

Excellent ball control/first touch and excellent passing ability are better and easier ways to outwit ur opposition than laborious dribblings.

Put Iwobi in that carpenter strength and endeavour team and see how difficult it is to play triangles and 1/2s.

It's a lot easier to play tip tap with quality players around you. I have watched both recently and regularly and live as well.

I know the head of Rec. at Fulham and the reports about Aluko are just well great. Apart from what I have seen.

Please take an indepth look at him in his current resurgent form, you will be surprisingly impressed, he isn't fair weather either. I know a lot of these Chelsea, City and Arsenal type kids when the going gets tough they can't cut it.

I'm not saying Iwobi can't cut just that Aluko has been cutting it in all kinds of environments.

That makes Aluko a suitable sub when things get tough grin

In all honesty I would chose Iwobi over Aluko as an all round performer in that number 10 position.

List Of New Players Under Consideration By Rohr For Super Eagles Friendlies In March

Ahead of the Super Eagles of Nigeria friendly games next month, coach of the team Gernot Rohr has confirmed that he will use the games to try out some new players.

Owngoalnigeria.com sources revealed that the manager could have as many as five new players in his team for the games against Senegal and possibly Ghana.

We bring to you the list of players who are favoured to be called up by the Franco-German coach in the test games, which will form the premises from which players will be invited for the Eagles competitive games later in the year.

Henry Onyekuru ( Striker, KAS Eupen, Belgium)

David Nwokolor ( Goalkepper, Vitez, Bosnia)

Anthony Nwakaeme ( Striker, Hapoel Be’er Sheva, Israel)

Olarenwaju Kayode ( Striker, Austia Wien, Austria.)

Tyroone Ebuehi ( Defender, ADO Deen Haag, Netherlands)

Fabian Senninger ( Defender, Hannover 96, Germany)

Noah Joel Sarenren-Bazee ( Winger, Hannover 96, Germany)

Brian Idowu* ( Defender, Amkar Perm, Russia)

Samuel Kalu. ( Winger, Gent, Belgium)

http://owngoalnigeria.com/2017/02/15/list-of-new-players-under-consideration-by-rohr-for-super-eagles-friendlies-in-march/

GOALKEEPER

Vincent Enyeama - Lilie; If he recend his decision to play for Nigeria, he is for sure my first choice.

Carl Ikeme - Wolves; He is currently the first choice in the absence of Enyeama and he has never for once made us miss Enyeama for now. grin

Dele Alampasu - Feirenese(on loan)

Jonathan Ligali - Montpelier; He is eligible to play for Nigeria.

David Nwokolor - HNK Rijeka

There is no sincerity in ur list of you don't consider Emmanuel Daniel as part of our young goalie prospects.

I want to make a list of players fighting for a position/role in the National team. Starting from the attackers to the goalkeepers. I want us to arrange them according to on your own rating. grin

I will start from the Left Wing.

LEFT WING

Victor Moses - Chelsea; Arguably, the best player for this position. With his tricks, he can unlock any defense in the world. In short, he is the most skilful player in the National team. He is the number one on my list. He can also play as a RM. grin- Now, who can deputize for him in case of the unexpected?

Now, let us choose between Moses Simon and Ademola-lookman though we have other players contending for this position. grin

Moses Simon - Gent; I don't really know what is happening to him recently but I think he is my second choice for now pending the guy behind him surpasses him. And who is that guy? cheesy

Ademola-lookman - Everton; This is the new kid on the block making rave in the Premier League. This guy could go places at the rate which he has risen from nowhere to becoming a full team player of Everton within three years. He's a good dribbler, he is skilful, he can score goals and he can give an accurate long pass. I rate him highly than Moses Simon. grin

We also have Sheyi Ojo who plays for Liverpool.

RIGHT WING

Ahmed Musa - Lec city; He is not my preferred choice but he's of course the number one on my list based on experience and other factors. I think he is best used as a Left Winger or striker.

Who do you think is best to stand for him incase...? grin

I think....

Isaac Success of Watford is the answer and my preferred choice. He's a reminiscent of Victor Moses. He is very skillful and direct but he has lost his goal sense based on what I saw. Imagine, Victor Moses on the Left Wing with Success on the right wing, grin any team go fear fear na. grin

The next person is Sone Aluko of Fulham. I think he is most skilful player not in the National team. He can play as a second striker and as an attacking midfielder. grin

Imoh Ezekiel could have been on the list but where em dey get as em be. grin

We have Noel Joel Sarenren Bazee also contending for this position. grin

Center Forward

This one I know know who I go put as number one for this position before some people chew me raw. Seriously, we need a potent striker in the mould of Diego Costa of Chelsea. grin

I don't want to think about Odion Ighalo because of em Chinko move. grin

Therefore, I will go for

Aaron Samuel - CSK Moscow. grin It is my choice. grin You can choose yours. grin I want this guy because of the match against Cameroun. He is strong, fast and reliable. When he played under Keshi, he didn't disappoint. Did he? grin

Brown Ideye- Olympiako; Hate or love him, he is currently the Nigerian with highest goals in Europe. His experience is needed.

Tammy Abraham - Chelsea(on loan); Abraham is currently scoring goals for fun in the Championship. I think he deserves a call-up to the National team.

Sadiq Umar - Bologna-fc; I saw him played yesterday and I think he's good enough.

Kayode Olanrewaju ; We know he has been consistently banging in goals in Europe for three good seasons. Now, I don't think that is fluke. He needs to be rewarded with a call.

Fernando Adi ; Last season was a memorable season for him in the MLS where he banged in goals constantly/consistently in almost every matches he played. I think Rohr needs to look his way.

Dominic Solanke - Chelsea; Don't underestimate any Chelsea bench warmer because when they are allowed to move to other clubs, they outshine whosoever they meet there. cheesy grin

I will continue with the attacking midfielders/second striker my number one choice is, hmmmmm, Alex Iwobi.

ATTACKING MIDFIELDER/ SECOND STRIKER

Alex Iwobi - Arsenal-fc; I think he is the only number ten we have in a top club in Europe. He can hold unto ball, he can give a through pass and he can also dribble very well. He is my favorite.

Kelechi Iheanacho - Man City; From my observations of this lad, he is best utilized behind the striker and that position is what actually shot him into limelight. This will afford him the opportunity to play freely without any restrictions of staying at a point. I promise you, Kelechi must score or at worse provide assist in this role. He is my second choice.

Oghenekaro-etebo - CD Feirense; Even though, he can play different roles, I think he is best utilized as a second striker. Etebor can play as a box to box midfielder if we want him to play alongside Iwobi or Nacho.

Abdul Ajagun - Roda; grin Hehehehe! At the mention of his name alone, every knee must bow. Eze-okwu. grin This lad is naturally an attacking midfielder who needs to be given a chance to prove himself. grin Anyway, he is on my list.

Josh Onomah- Tottenham; I have not taken my time to see his game but he's also a natural attacking midfielder and I think he deserves to be given a trial. After all, he is playing for one of the best clubs in EPL. grin

Rabiu Ibrahim- Gent; I don't really know what is happening to this lad but I am optimistic he will make it at Gent.

Is there anyone I am missing? You can add yours.

CENTRAL MIDFIELDER

Mikel Obi- Chinko club; grin Arguably, he is the most experienced and most influential player on the list. We don't need too much stories though his Chinko move get k leg but I will give him a benefit of doubt.... until after I see him play. For now, he is my first choice.

Ogenyi-onazi - Trapazone; Without any doubt, he is the most experienced player after Mikel in the National team. Onazi can double as a CMF and Defensive midfielder. If he is not playing as a CMF then he must play as the defensive Midfielder.

Raheem Lawal - Kayserispor; I don't understand why this guy is not in the National team despite his stellar performance in the friendly. So far, he has been underatted by many without knowing he was the best player of the U23 Africa Olympics qualifiers tournament. This guy plays like Yaya Toure and *scratching head* em Jordan Ibe team mate. grin

John Ogu; He is having the best season of his career. Although, he was noticed and given a call but he wasn't given the chance to prove himself.

DEFENSIVE MIDFIELDER

Wilfred Ndidi - Leicester; This is the new kid on the block. He is currently doing himself good in the EPL. However, he is my first choice if Onazi plays beside him as another DMF else he will have to understudy Onazi in this role.

Mikel Agu- Victoria Setubal; This lad is making waves in the Portuguese Liga. A run of MOTM game after game should be enough to convince his doubters that he is ready for the National team. He's my preferred choice behind Ndidi.

Anderson Esiti - Gent; This lad is playing regularly for his Belgium club and he is doing well in this position. He deserves to be looked into.

Sanusi Ryan - Sparta Rotterdam; Many have not heard about this lad but I can tell you, he was part of the team that brought back Rotterdam to the Eredivisie. He scored goals from his position which made him to known as the DMF with high numbers of goals.

CENTER BACKS

Leon Balogun- Mainz; Balogun before injury was apparently the best defender on Mainz team. No wonder they conceded lots of goals in his absence. Besides, when he plays for the National team he is the one that Marshalls the defense. You can see that leadership trait in him.

William Troost Ekong - Gent; With Ekong patterning Balogun, I think we're gradually forming a solid, resilience and trustable back line.

Kenneth Otigba - I still don't understand why this guy is not in the team. Probably, he's got no godfather or the previous and the current coaches don't like him. That, I can't tell. Obviously, it is long overdue for this lad to be given a chance to prove himself. He is my favorite to deputize for either of these two players earlier mentioned.

Kenneth Omeruo- Alanyapor; His introduction into the team brought to an end the era of Captain Joseph Yobo. Then, we thought he is the one to take the mantle from Yobo and that he has come to stay but somehow he fizzled out of the team through his loss of concentration and lackadaisical performance. He has now been relegated to the bench. Recently, his club plays him as a defensive midfielder.

Tiago Ilori- Leeds City; Apparently, he is one of the most experienced defenders on my list due to the fact that he has played at highest level with top clubs and in top leagues in Europe. He started out with Sporting Lisbon and later moved to Granada, Bordeaux, Aston Villa, Liverpool and currently he is with Leeds City. The club is currently in the position to get promotion to the Premier League.

Chidozie Awaziem- Porto; Last season was a memorable one for him after he broke into the first team but this season he barely or never made the bench. He is currently playing for the reserve though he was recently restored to the UCL team. I think he deserves a call-up.

Tosin Adarabioyo - Man City; He could only make the bench once this season. We don't know if he would turn out to play for Nigeria. I hope we reach out to him before drawing any conclusion.

Felix Uduokhai - 1860 Munich; Felix is a central defender with 1860 Munich in the second Bundusliga and he is playing regularly. The Germans are not willing to let him slip out of their hands and they will fight hard to make sure they cap him ahead of Nigeria because they have seen the potentials in him and they hold him in high esteem. No wonder Rohr eagles eyes are on him and he wants him badly in his team.

Right Back

Moses Odubanjo - Hull City; This lad could have gone to the Olympics and he could also have been capped by the Nigerian national team but injury prevented him. Hopefully, he comes out of injury on time to help his relegated threatened club to remain in the Premier League and also help solve the RB palaba in the National team. He is my first choice.

Brain Idowu - Ampar Perm; While we are praying and hoping for Moses Odubanjo quick recovery, I think he should be tried on this wing to ascertain his ability. I want it so because we will be facing the physically strong Cameroonians in the World cup qualifiers. We need someone who is as physical as them else this position could become our weakling for them to cause us damages.

Tyronne Ebuechi - Ado Den; If you are looking for a modern day RB, you don't need to look too far cause you can find all that in Ebuechi. We need to add him to our arsenal to add quality to our squad. Thank God he has agreed to play for the green and white Jersey instead the Orange.

Ola Aina - Chelsea; I was not really impressed when I saw him played but I think he is good enough for Chelsea to have brought him to the first team.

We still have Musa Mohammed, Nura Abdullahi (Roma) etc

LEFT BACK

Elderson Echiejile- Sporting Gijon; Presently the most experienced defender in the team. We all know about him

Jordan Torunarigha- Hertha BSC; Though he is a central defender but he can as well play at the left back due to his preferred left foot. grin He is currently in a Bundusliga team that is 5th on the league's table and yet he is still making the matchday team. Recently,, he made his debut coming on as a late substitute. He's just 19. grin

Joel Obi - Torino; I remember now when this guy first played for the National team under Siasia, he was a delight to watch with his mesmerizing skills. Oh my goodness! This guy was uzzing with confidence and skills but injury.. injury held him back both at his club and the National team. I heard he played two days ago and even assisted for the first goal but unfortunately he got injured again. Though, he is Left Midfielder or defensive midfielder, I think we should try him at the LB. And should incase we want to change formation during the course of a match to 3-5-3, he could play as a wing back alongside Victor Moses. grin

Stanley Amuzie - Samdoria; Although, he only made the bench once but he no easy for one to be on a Seria A team. I think we still need to see him to know the level of his progress.

Madu - Gent; We just need to let him develop himself in the Belgium pro league.

@ Forgiveness,

Starting with your Left and Right Wing players.

I would personally put them in a pool of wingers. Reason being in today's football, wingers alternate positions during the course of a game. They also alternate with the central attacking midfielders.

You listed in this pool Victor Moses, Simon Moses, Isaac Success, Ahmed Musa, Imoh Ezekiel, Sone Aluko and Noel Joel Sarenren Bazee .
I would add to this pool Alex Iwobi and Oghenekaro Etebo (these are wingers too).

My starting wings choices if Iwobi would play the AM role would be Etebo and Moses. If Etebo plays the midfield role he played against Algeria then Iwobi and Moses are by far my first choice. Ahmed Musa and Moses Simon come next in my rating. I would personally want to include Isaac Success in the pool of strikers and would prefer to see Aluko in the central AM position.

As for Imoh the squad is too loaded for him to break in for now and as for Noel Bazee, I am not the type that rate or hype a player I dnt know so well.

For your center forward position.

You put in this pool: Aaron Samuel, Brown Ideye, Sadiq Umar, Olanrewaju Kayode, Fenan Adi. I would add to this pool Odion Ighalo and Kelechi Iheanacho.

In a typical 4-5-1 formation which we know the national team has come to be very comfortable and conversant with only one center forward plays.

My pick here is Kelechi Iheanacho.
I place Ideye and Ighalo as joint second choices but closely followed by Kayode. Then Adi comes next. Sadiq is young and may not be able to compete with the older boys for now. But he is for future consideration. I put him in the same pool with Victor Osimhen, Taiwo Awoniyi, Chidera Ezeh and Kingsley Michael.

@ Forgiveness,

For your Attacking Midfielder/Supporting strikers.

You put in this pool: Alex Iwobi, Kelechi Iheanacho, Oghenekaro Etebo, Abdul Ajagun, Rabiu Ibrahim. I would also include Sone Aluko and Mikel Obi as part of the pool of AMs.

I have already picked Iheanacho as my preferred CF and Etebo as one of my first choice wingers. Alex Iwobi would be my first pick here.

Mikel has done creditably well in that AM position but I still prefer him in a more central midfield role. Sone Aluko was my first choice AM before Oliseh came and brought Silvester Igboun. I was one of those that seriously complained abt Aluko's exclusion, But Iwobi is here now and Aluko has to be second choice for me. If Etebo is to play this role I would also prefer him over Aluko.

As for Ajagun, the comepetition for that position is such that and I dnt see Rohr or any of the coaches considering him for now. The fact also that all the players listed in this pool can play that AM role in addition to 1 or 2 other positions. Iwobi, Aluko, Mikel, Iheanacho are Etebo all utility players that bring more to the team apart from the AM role. Rabiu Ibrahim is like a kabu-kabu that you kick start and when you engage to drive it switches off again. No chance for him.

We typically play a 4-5-1 and if we need to switch to a 4-4-2 we consider a supporting striker. This is a position Iheanacho, Success and Etebo can play wella. Ahmed Musa can also play as an SS.

@ Forgiveness,

For ur pool of Central Midfielders u listed: Mikel Obi, Raheem Lawal (u were trying so had to market him grin. We need for that. We knw him very well), Ogenyi Onazi, John Ogu. I wonder why you did nt mention Ovie Edjarie. I would put Onazi in the pool of DMFs.

This is a position Nigeria is currently not much gifted in. Yes, there is a Mikel but currently in Mikel's absence I dnt think Raheem or Ogu would be a capable replacement. I hope Kelechi Nwakali leaves up to expectations.

@ Forgiveness,

For ur pool of DMFs u listed: Wilfred Ndidi, Mikel Agu, Anderson Esiti and Ryan Sanusi. I will add Ogenyi Onazi to this pool.

Onazi and Ndidi stand tall from this list. Who ever becomes favorite to pick the starting shirt from the two would depend on how the rest of their season would go. Mikel Agu and Esiti are also good players but I dnt see them in the same capacity as Ndidi and Onazi. As for Ryan Sanusi, I dnt rate a player I dnt know so well.

Please remember to add 's' after the '4'. wink[/quote

A thousand apologies

Consider both players, from an individual perspective not just team set up.

How well will Iwobi perform in a kick and rush team with less emphasis on connective passing is open to debate. In this regard Aluko has done it seen it and passed the exam.

What I am saying it's easy to look skillful and knit and thread your passes in an Arsenal team. So judge the individual not just the settings in which he strives to perform.

@ Forgiveness,

From ur list of Centre backs: Leone Balogun, Kenneth Omeruo, William Troost-Ekong, Kenedy Otigba, Chidozie Awaziem.

Balogun, Omeruo and Troost-Ekong are the regulars from this team. Good enough both Balogun and Omeruo can also play RB.

Kenedy Otigba, though I pushed for his inclusion into the Keshi's team to Brazil 2014. I would nt whole heartedly do same now because he not been having a good season.

Chidozie Awaziem, once chanted as our best Center back here on this forum grin. He is still at the pupa stage of his development. Needs more time.

You have Ilori at Leeds United fc am I correct? Or is that an error. As all reports are he had gone to Reading fc.

For RB u listed: Brian Idowu, Tyrone Ebuehi, Musa Mohammed and Nura Abdulahi.

I will aslo include Shehu Abdulahi, since I dnt mention him as part of the DMF.

I cannot rate Idow and Ebuehi yet. Let them feature in any of the friendlies first. As for between Shehu and Musa. I would go for Shehu who is a more tested player and has also done creditably well. Musa Mohammed is still developing. Nura Abdulahi, well, he belongs to the group of John Lazarus and Sincere Seth. RBs of the future.

For ur Left Back options: Elderson Echiejile, Joel Obi, Jordan Torunarigha, Stanley Amuzie and Kingsley Madu.

Elderson Echiejile is my pick here. Stanley Amuzie follows. Kingsley Madu too dey try.

For whatsoever reason are you playing Joel Obi as a LB, just know that this is a nation team set-up and not a Club set-up. Here no room wild experiments. Joel Obi is a Central midfielder. Jordan Torunarigha I cannot rate for obvious reasons.

BTW u forget to mention Juwon Oshaninwa. grin

You see where ur choice for team selection has gone wrong?

Football is a team sport and so considering players based on how they can fit into a team set-up cannot be over-emphasized.

Iwobi would bring more to the team than Sone Aluko.

Hope Akpan at Blackburn Rovers fc, getting red carded sent off for supposedly pushing a referee. This is clear obvious, shameless simulation by the referee.

My view is the referee should be sanctioned not the player.
