Well, I doing this just to squeez Joel Obi into the team. However, since both Joel Obi and Victor Moses are conversant with 3-5-2 formation, we can change formation if we are in search of a goal by removing the left back to accomodate Joel Obi.

But we must try out the formation in a friendly before considering it in an important tournament.

Sone Aluko was a player who showed the usefulness of a creative playmaker in front of a tough wall. His role in the revitalization of Keshi's team was down to this. However, we never gave Aluko a chance to help the Super Eagles succeed.

Starting with your Left and Right Wing players.

I would personally put them in a pool of wingers. Reason being in today's football, wingers alternate positions during the course of a game. They also alternate with the central attacking midfielders.

You listed in this pool Victor Moses, Simon Moses, Isaac Success, Ahmed Musa, Imoh Ezekiel, Sone Aluko and Noel Joel Sarenren Bazee .
I would add to this pool Alex Iwobi and Oghenekaro Etebo (these are wingers too).

My starting wings choices if Iwobi would play the AM role would be Etebo and Moses. If Etebo plays the midfield role he played against Algeria then Iwobi and Moses are by far my first choice. Ahmed Musa and Moses Simon come next in my rating. I would personally want to include Isaac Success in the pool of strikers and would prefer to see Aluko in the central AM position.

As for Imoh the squad is too loaded for him to break in for now and as for Noel Bazee, I am not the type that rate or hype a player I dnt know so well.

First of all, I agree, wingers alternate positions during the course of a game, therefore, they should lump together as Winger.

However, I don't rate Iwobi and Etebo as good wingers because I have seen Iwobi made no impact in that position with the National team and Arsenal while I have never seen Etebo played in that position. Though, I may likely consider Iwobi if we play 4-3-3 formation.

Hence, My choice will revolve among the remaining players though you exempted some due to '?' hanging on their nationality. That one no mean say I agree with you ooooo on that issue.



In a 4-2-3-1, my starting wing choice are Victor and Success. Success because the guy his good and my second choice will be Aluko and Ahmed.

For your center forward position.

You put in this pool: Aaron Samuel, Brown Ideye, Sadiq Umar, Olanrewaju Kayode, Fenan Adi. I would add to this pool Odion Ighalo and Kelechi Iheanacho.

In a typical 4-5-1 formation which we know the national team has come to be very comfortable and conversant with only one center forward plays.

My pick here is Kelechi Iheanacho.
I place Ideye and Ighalo as joint second choices but closely followed by Kayode. Then Adi comes next. Sadiq is young and may not be able to compete with the older boys for now. But he is for future consideration. I put him in the same pool with Victor Osimhen, Taiwo Awoniyi, Chidera Ezeh and Kingsley Michael.

For your Attacking Midfielder/Supporting strikers.

You put in this pool: Alex Iwobi, Kelechi Iheanacho, Oghenekaro Etebo, Abdul Ajagun, Rabiu Ibrahim. I would also include Sone Aluko and Mikel Obi as part of the pool of AMs.

I have already picked Iheanacho as my preferred CF and Etebo as one of my first choice wingers. Alex Iwobi would be my first pick here.

Mikel has done creditably well in that AM position but I still prefer him in a more central midfield role. Sone Aluko was my first choice AM before Oliseh came and brought Silvester Igboun. I was one of those that seriously complained abt Aluko's exclusion, But Iwobi is here now and Aluko has to be second choice for me. If Etebo is to play this role I would also prefer him over Aluko.

As for Ajagun, the comepetition for that position is such that and I dnt see Rohr or any of the coaches considering him for now. The fact also that all the players listed in this pool can play that AM role in addition to 1 or 2 other positions. Iwobi, Aluko, Mikel, Iheanacho are Etebo all utility players that bring more to the team apart from the AM role. Rabiu Ibrahim is like a kabu-kabu that you kick start and when you engage to drive it switches off again. No chance for him.

We typically play a 4-5-1 and if we need to switch to a 4-4-2 we consider a supporting striker. This is a position Iheanacho, Success and Etebo can play wella. Ahmed Musa can also play as an SS.
