1. In the front row

People who choose to sit in the front find it easier to maintain eye contact than those who sits at the back. What this says about them is that they are confident and not afraid of speaking up.
Also you like to be noticed by people… especially by those in power
2. In the Middle

You sit at the middle row because you are most comfortable when you are surrounded by people.

You also almost always don't like being the first in anything but at the same time you don't like being the last, you just prefer being on the fence because to you its the safest place to be…

3. In the back row

You are an extrovert so you sit at the back because its the only place you can talk without being noticed by your lecturer.

You are also nervous about speaking up in class mainly because you are lacking in the department of confidence…

I disagree. Was a back bencher all through my schooling days and l'm not an extrovert,plus l'm very confident. I speak up when I have to.

I love sitting at the front anywhere I go to except when I am in the examination hall,I love d back seat

I love middle row but will stay at d back when I want to disturb I can't sit in front

Personality traits differs with individuals. In some instances those that sit at the back are more recognized than those in front.

In some classes those that ask questions irrespective of the course (both boring and interesting) are noticed.

In my set, back benchers are notorious for noise making although there are few intelligent students that prefer sitting at the back.

It is all about choice, there's no test to prove that the OP assertion is a general rule in every academic environment.

It's all about choice yes but those who sit at the forefront are usually very very serious zombies, man.
Funny thing : their GP no dey high

On the second, third, fourth seat to those in the front (meaning, technically, they're still at the front); are those with high GP's and really hot brains.

At the extreme sides, are usually where the non-chalant, Idk, kinda people who act disintrested and still score high marks.


At the back, we usually have that odd genius who shouts and chants at the lecturer and still has a very high GP.

Funny thing : Morons with low GP shout with him too .



I'm judging this based on my experience sha.

This just made me remember my secondary school days. I will just sit at the back looking smug and not make any contribution having read the topic weeks before the class. Our biology teacher would ask questions and expect us to provide answers. I will just keep an expressionless face and not provide the answer until the teacher starts flogging the whole class. Having flogged more than half of the class, especially those girls that do shakara and sit in the front without knowing nothing, I would just shoot up my hands provide the answer and save the day for me and my guys. I've been a superman since secondary school days.

University was a different ball game entirely, I shifted from back row to the middle row. Too many A's in different semesters got people wanting to be my friend by force. Some even thought my sitting position was strategic.lol

OP ur assertion is very wrong and I don't know how u came about dis conclusion if u ctually attend/ed a public higher institution in Nigeria u will definitely know dis is wrong.

I was actually a back bencher all tru my stay in skool and I can categorically tell u d@ all most all my lecturers know me and my cliques individually. some of dem even ask after us wen we aint in class cos na we dey make class lively in fact some of d front sitters even come 2 join us mind u even if not all of us most of us finished with good grades and odas weren't 2 bad.

some of d front sitters actually sit in d front 4 hypocritical reasons just 2 show off d@ dey are serious wen in d actual sense dey no sabi anything.
