Chapter 4 cont'd

Eve looked so defeated in her kneeling position. Her once proud look was all gone and replaced with eyes that were all red from crying. Her make-up was ruined and she look quite weird with the mascara all around her eyes. Eve had been kneeling for the past twelve minutes and during that time, she had been saying all sorts of things. Pleading and moving around what she did and finally kept the blame on trying to remain sane, which I found really funny. If that was her excuse; how about me then that had the very building block of my life forcefully taken from me. The thought of what my dear mother would be passing through all day. The judgemental remarks that would have been thrown towards her and my sisters and even my annoying father. I just couldn't even begin to process how being called a sodomite parent would seem like. It wasn't something one would want to be called in the sort of society we lived in.

How about the numerous heartbreaks she made me pass through? Dotun might have had her own flaws but she was sweet nonetheless. Ore's case was even worse and I would never forgive myself for the emotional trauma I made her pass through. All these happened because of the woman before me and the experiences were enough to have made me lose my mind. Yet, she claimed she did all that because she feared for her sanity — what nonsense. Mr. Okoh knew better than to interfere, perhaps he had read my mind. This was something between the three of us and he had no business trying to settle our grievances.

Maddy left my shoulder after looking at her sister without even a bit of reaction from her. Maddy might have changed but that sociopathic being was still in her.

"Lisa, I am quite certain you do not expect any straight answer from Solomon today because if you are, then you would be more delusional than I thought you were." The elder of the two sisters began with their father now taking a keen interest after seating all this time watching his younger daughter pull off an Oscar winning performance.

"What you did to me was horrible and cannot be justified in anyway but looking at it from a certain perspective; one must say, perhaps I deserved it. But what did Solomon do exactly to deserve what you did to him? You realize now that he might have no family in attendance at the marriage ceremony. His sisters might not be there. His mum might not be either and surely, his father won't. You completely ruined his sense of belonging; that very thing that makes us human and for what — your own selfish gain?.

Yes, I have decided to forgive you but don't expect the same from him because what you did was an act of wickedness and you should be rightly punished. You have kept a scar in his life that will never leave him so please let him be. Asking for forgiveness is fine but don't expect any from him because in truth; you don't deseve it." Maddy ended with a fierce look on her face.

The beautiful woman had said everything I could have said but the way I could have expressed mine would have been worse. Eve sniffed and blew into her nose before taking her seat.

"I know you hate Lisa, Solomon and I should have no business interfering in what ever choice you have choosen but I suggest that you give her the assurance that she will be allowed into your home. I am certain that will go a long way in changing the sort of person she is." The old man said. What he said was correct even if it was asking a lot from me. I had no trust in Lisa and didn't see myself opening the doors of my house to such a fellow but to prevent another desperate attempt by this woman in the future. I had to do it. I must let her in.

"You are right Sir. I will let her in. As much as she is wicked; I do believe that there is some good in her. She will be welcomed to my home." I said and the old man smiled a thank you. Eve cried even more intensely with her Father standing up to cuddle her. Maddy wrapped her left arm in my right and gave me a lovely peck on my right cheek that did more than rile me up.

"I will be on my way, its getting late and I have work the next day." I announced. I stood up to go with Maddy doing the same. Mr. Okoh slapped me on my shoulder and said,

"I appreciate what you have done and you have my utmost respect from tonight. I now see what Lori sees in you; you are a good man Solomon and I am confident you will take good care of my daughter. A good warm night to you then." He finished and ruffled my hair like I was a kid.

Maddy walked me out after her Dad continued his babysitting job. As soon we were out; Maddy turned me around and pulled my head before fusing my lips with hers. We kissed in a slow, deliberate movement. It was sweet and damn erotic touching each other's lip with no tongue going in.

"Thanks for making me proud today." She said with dreamy eyes. She was already turned on. I smiled and kissed her goodnight. I got into my car and drove home. I got home and crashed on my sofa. I was bone tired.

The next few days passed with me calling and having lengthy conservation with Maddy. We would chat for long and teased ourselves. It was as if we just met. It was fun. During the weekend of the next week while I was watching the blu-ray version of the fast and furious movie and I was having a good cry at the dedication of Parker who had died in the making of the latest edition of the movie franchise. I heard my phone beep of a message from somebody. I ignored it and rapped along with Wizkhalifa on his featured song that was used in the movie.

"....We have come a long way from where we began...."

"....Bam, bam, bam.....in the beginning..." My phone was ringing and that ruined the moment I was just having. I went to pick it from the table where it was charging to see that it was Maddy that called and sent a text. She was at my gate and had been for the last ten minutes. I quickly left to open the gate for her to come in and this time, she came in her Dad's Range that was black and damn sexy. The gates closed back in and I watched her come down expecting a sexy wear but it seemed that fiance was hell bent on frustrating me. She was on a gown this time that was so loosed it made her look awkward.

"Why are you crying?" She asked and I cursed immediately.

"Nothing, just a reaction to a movie." I replied and Maddy eyed me before going in with a file on her hands.

She got in and saw the post credits scene of the movie and did more than laugh at me.
"You are so emotional which is just perfect for me." She said, smiling sheepishly. I ignored her to get us something to eat. I got a fruit wine and poured two cups for us both.

"To what do I owe this visit?" I asked but Maddy's mind wasn't with me. She was looking for something on my dstv menu and later dropped the remote after she failed to find it.

"Yes and it's about our marriage ceremony." She replied.

"And what about it?" I asked, taking a seat beside her.

"Well, I would like us to get married in the States." She announced and that got me off.

"But we already discussed this and concluded that the processes involved were much too tedious and the money involved too was quite the sum." I shot back angrily.

"I know but I have consulted a professional and called up my pastor at the Philadelphia branch of our church and he says he is more than ready to do it. He gave me a few tips too and I am certain we can make it work out." She said rather calmly. I sighed and returned to my seat.

"Have you spoken to your family?" She asked and I nodded.

"My Dad didn't even let me finish before kicking me out of his house which made me wonder why he bothered to give me any audience in the first place. My mom said she would be there and so did my sisters. I have a few friends that have promised to be there but things will be quite different now that you want it in the States. The cost of carrying all those persons and their family including invites from your end will be ridiculous." I ended with a frustrated look.

"Don't worry, we will share the cost. Just let them know those that they will going to the States and those who agree to will be happy they did. Alright?" She said and I nodded.

"Now we need to file for a marriage licence and we have to do that in person. There is no going round this. We will do this in a marriage licence bureau at a local county. In this situation, I have chosen the city hall, Philadelphia because it is closer to our church over there. You will need to bring two forms of registration, the first being your passport, Visa and the second being your birth certificate since you don't reside in the States and have no social security number. We have to be in the States first and apply for this which will be given to us after three days. Which will mean that our guests will have to start coming after we get the licence. Any ish with the plan?" I shook my head.

"Alright, so get those documents ready as we will be leaving on Monday. Put your company in safe hands as we will be staying for a while there and do tell your friends as I will do mine."

"Are you still certain that they won't be any prenuptial?" I asked.

"Nope, I have no plan to leave you till Death do us part." She replied and I chuckled.

"Alright, on it." I called my friends immediately and did the same to my mum and siblings. They agreed to be there but some of my friends backed out and I didn't hold it against them. Tolu wasn't one of them and was quite eager to visit the States.

Getting visas for our guests that didn't have one was quite the experience and if it wasn't for Mr. Okoh doing his thing, I would have changed my mind about the whole thing. Those people at the embassy were something else. Anyway, I didn't blame them much. Nigeria's image in the international community haven't been helped much by the criminal activities carried out by its citizens all around the world.

We later left for the States two weeks after the initial date. All that time I was yet to speak with Eve or even see her at all. I stayed at Maddy's place and the next day saw us at the Licence bureau where we filed our application. It was another unnecessary tedious process simply because I wasn't a citizen of the damn country. We were done after hours being there and we returned home. The next day, we left for the church and met with the Pastor there who was a very nice person. He said we need not pay for anything but he would be needing our licence and a pregnancy test. We understood and thanked him.

Maddy excused herself and went off discussing with the decoration unit of the church. After she was done, we left for the store where I spent an unbearable amount of time watching Maddy change from gown to gown. I had selected my suit a long time ago but Maddy always seem to have a problem with each dress. The store keeper was really patient and I must commend her for that. She finally settled for a white coloured one that was quite tight fitting but wasn't revealing yet it was revealing.

The make of the dress was something else; I just couldn't seem to explain it. Maddy's boobs stood out but covered for one not to see anything but enough to get one hard. Her butt was even worse as her accented curves was there for all to see. Her whole figure was out; well shaped and a perfect hourglass. On heels, she looked delicious. I nodded my agreement with the dress after she asked if I liked it. We left for home kissing like teenagers on the walk to her car. She later informed me that Eve was taking care of the guests and their wears and the hotels they would be staying.

Our licence was given on the fifth day after filing and then our guests arrived on the eve of that day. The wedding was done on a Saturday with Tolu as my best man and unsurprisingly; Eve as Maddy's version of mine. Both women were beyond gorgeous that day with Eve's cream version of her sister's gown making everyone stare back at her. I could see the look on Tolu's face and I knew that he would be tearing the sheets with her later in the day. Tolu was still his tall, dark self even after getting married five years ago. His eyes for a beautiful woman were still as sharp as ever and such eyes would surely get him in trouble some day.

"You may kiss the bride." I heard the pastor announce after all the other rituals had been done. It was something I wasn't expecting especially in a church such as mine. I obeyed nonetheless and as expected it was a simple tender kiss to the lips and everyone in church got to their feet and clapped, shouting and screaming. Maddy flung her arms around me with a look of relief in her eyes. The trials and storms were over and this was her victory.

We danced to the African songs being played after which photographs and all that took place with families and friends. My mum and siblings were all in tears and same thing with Eve and her Dad. Tolu as usual had gone into action, cuddling the crying Eve and winking at me when he could. Reception took place after the wedding and later we were ushered into a Ferrari that I didn't care to know the model. It drove us around the big city and that was all credited to Mr. Okoh. The feeling was unbelievable because I never thought that I would ever be in such an amazing ride but what was actually beautiful was having Maddy beside me and us French kissing after so long.

"Solo....tell me say you never do your wife sister before." The idiotic Tolu asked as we both spoke while we waited for the return flight for the guests that came.

"No, I no get that kind mind." I lied.

"Chai..you dey miss oh... That girl na maami water oh...No even think reach that level oh...That woman nearly kill me..." He said with a look of fear on his face.

"Wetin happen?"

"Solo.....na six full rounds I go yesterday. Six full ones. How my prick dey rise each time I finish one na something I no fit explain. This woman no gree tire and after I no release anything after the last round, na e I come beg this woman make she leave me ." He was yet to finish before I started laughing.

I waved him goodbye and returned to Maddy.

Eve had come and gone but she only spoke with her sister because I refused to grant her any audience. I couldn't tell if that affected her as I didn't care anyway because something else was bothering me. Its been a week now after our wedding and each hour had seen us fvcking like pornstars but Maddy has been exhibiting a strange behaviour of late.

The woman would stay back after we had both showered together. She would shut the glass panes and then shut the door to the bathroom after which I would start hearing moans that I couldn't be certain was pain or pleasure. She would later come out of the bathroom like nothing had happened there. I was worried that she was probably playing with herself or something but I was wrong. She came out of the bathroom after a week of doing that but this time she was smiling sheepishly and was holding something behind her back.

"What?" I asked nervously. She pouted her lips before showing what she was hiding behind her. I frowned and then I moved back in surprise.

"Jesus! Maddy no.....we can't... I can't....." I stammered because right there within her grasp was a bottle of lube.

"Common we can.. We are married." She stated and I knew what she said to be true. I bit my lips and wondered why I never thought of this before we got married. Now, I was in for it —forever.
