@esosawura
if you are in san antonio, why do you want to go all the way to HNWM. its quite a distance or do you plan moving closer?

Morning @jessemama. No I don't plan to move. I've got family in San Antonio so I'm staying there. Plan on getting an apartment close to my edd day. Sumtn near HNWM. Then I'll return back to San Antonio afterwards...its better for me. Cos from my research, San Antonio hospitals are wayyyyy to high and above my budget

Don't know about other cities but Houston yes

Pick up your birth certificate on your way home upon discharge from the hospital. Schedule your passport visit downtown too for the next day or the day after if you are exhausted from pushing

Go to downtown pick up same day or next

Everything ready by day 3 of discharge aka day 5 of the baby's life.

That's how iv done it for my two babies

Pls I sent u a pm I will like to know how u went abt ur babies Nigerian visa within a short period

I used the hospital a month ago, I stay a little far from the hospital like 45 mins away. My host used to take to hospital, it was part of the arrangement. If you are interested I will give you her contact.

What POE r u going through? I am thinking of using Virgin Atlantic to JFK then a connecting local flight to houston. Am leaving in 2weeks maximum. Cos am 33weeks by Monday. What POE is best. I hv all my documents and i stated child birth as travel reason (got visa days go). I intend to travel with about 10k and may even pay my hospital bills from here.

Deciding a POE is my issue. Am houston bound

Is anybody having same problem as mine regarding flight booking? Wakanow said no airline will carry me if i am above 32 weeks. They said it is a new rule or so. I called airfrance and they also insisted on 32 weeks. Can anybody who recently flew at 33 weeks and above inform me the airline she used?

If there is a format I would also need Intend sample for childbirth by anyone who has sent.

Usually when it's sent how long does it take to get a response?

Also, is there a specific email or I could sent via feedback on the USA=VFS?

My email is: bomegold@gmail.com

Thanks everyone

Hello, I have been a silent reader of this thread and it was helpful in securing my visa today. I was asked similar questions other people were asked. The only Different question was "What is your educational qualification". I was surprised to be the only person for interview today. Abi people no dey go america because of Trump?

I am currently having a problem of booking an airline. I intend travelling next week and my pregnancy will be 34weeks by then. Wakanow said no airline will carry me if i am above 32 weeks. They said it is a new rule or so. I called airfrance and they also insisted on 32 weeks. Is there any airline that can accept me at 34Weeks?

I flew Turkish airline at 35+

Good evening

I have a question please. When I applied for visa, I did a reservation for an extended stay apartment. During my interview I was asked if I would be staying with a family and my response was no(since I did not have anyone to there aside friends). Now, a friend is willing to accommodate me at her house. What do I fill on my immigration card? My reservation address or my friend's address. My reservation has not been paid for. I was to pay on arrival. Kindly assist.

I don't think it really matters which one you put. I would put the hotel reservation address if it was me though. Reason being that your friend's hands might not be all that "clean". Next thing they start asking how you know him/her.
The way I see it is, until I pass immigration.....I no know anybody except my immediate fam. Shikena lol

I think you are on the right track. Fly naija to Jfk and take a local flight to Houston. I would avoid Houston poe if i were you, cause them they para for there o.

Am using Atlanta POE. From what i have read on this thread i think it is safer than other POE's

You can travel with 15k. You just have to declare it.

Please how were you able to get a reasonable fare with Delta? Their fares have been ridiculous since January.

Delta ticket is 850k. Do not mind what you see online, just go to their office in VI. I like them because they fly directly to atlanta. No need to wait for so long in another country. wink

If I were in her shoes I would have demanded to have a doctor certify me fit to fly! After all, the one she must have gotten from nigeria was only valid for the outbound trip.. SMH some comments on this story are really sad and irritating! Oh well.. Im just gonna jump and pass.

Austine2020:
@Sophiamax16, its just a pity that people will do everything right as they could and still be deported back,.because judging by this story, they did all they could do starting from using their visas for the purpose it was issued to them, then writing the embassy to inform them of their plans to give birth with the visa afterwards, having sufficient Cash as they said and even paying their hospital bill in advance.. its just bad Luck or may be the CBP officer woke up angry with left hand,Lol. They spent their hard earned money for nothing,.But thank God that his wife and Baby is fine. All in all, thats why people are advised to avoid Houston & Chicago POE's Because what works for one might not work for another especially in this Trump Era.

To be honest, she really was not in a position to make demands. You cannot challenge a decision made by the CBP and they are not legally obligated to entertain your demands.

Hi Temmyo,

I had my daughter at Baylor Scott & White, White Rock in September 2015 (formerly Doctor's Hospital at White Rock Lake) and I'm planning to use them again come October.

My total medical bill was $7,031.08 inclusive of doctor's fee, hospital fee, epidural, hospital paediatrician, two visits to the external paediatrician, lab tests etc etc. You can check my previous posts for the breakdown.

How's your son by the way? Kisses to him. He's my birthday mate kiss

An old employer - thumbs up.

I do not agree, that's not entirely true. I may not contest not being granted entry but i definitely can ask to be certified fit to fly as a pregnant woman. That is MY opinion. There was a related case years back, of course no doctor would dare!

You could check san marcos. its about an hr from san antonio. still in the process tho. so cant give an overall breakdown but its not bn bad. cos staying with family(reasonable ones) is the best.

The poster above...

Every mallam to his kettle. If being truthful doesn't work for you no problem.

The actual fact is this is an online public forum, and even though naija get their ways, it is saddening that posts like your is rubbing the mud further in our faces and confirming to anyone out there that Nigerians are deceptive by nature. Which isn't so! You are also encouraging others to cut corners which can land them in deeper trouble and you won't be there to bail them out when the shit hits the fan.

Accepted our ancestors were exported in crates, isn't it odd that till date, we are still exporting ourselves to US...

Have you also wondered why the US allows visitors have their babies (as long as you pay your bills) and I hope you know by giving birth in the US we are mortgaging the future of our children except they renounce their citizenship. I know most of us are aware of the future implication of what we are doing.

Jacob, job, Paul, Solomon, David and Moses.

Jacob was deceitful
Paul was a persecutor of saints
Solomon had 700 wives and 300 concubines
David murdered a man, stole his wife and fathered an illegitimate child
Moses had a bad temper

So actually, yes, we have the likes of these names on this thread because we are all human with our flaws, only striving to make things better
