Hello,

The points are awarded for each band score not overall band score, so it will be better you write what you have in each of the language skills. You also need to read more about Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) Levels. For Instance a CLB 9 will mean you've achieved a minimum of 8.0 in Listening and minimum of 7.0 each in Writing, Reading, and Speaking. If you don't have this then you maybe losing about 50 points in Transferability Skills.

Hello I had CLB 9 in listening, writing and Speaking. And I had 8 in Reading. This is my understanding from what I read on CIC.

My IELTS scores were:
Speaking:8.5
Writing: 8
Reading: 7
Listening: 8.5

Unless you are well above 30, your total CRS score is quite low compared to your profile I.e Masters degree, good ielts, work experience and single. If thats not the case, you may need to check you filled your profile correctly.

Modified
Use this link to recalculate your score http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp

Thanks I'm 34.
I used the calculator and it says grand total is 515.
Will go through my profile again and see if anything can be adjusted, otherwise I don't know what to do with it.

Although, I don't know about your marital status, but assuming single your CRS score is 451 using all your informations and with a married status you have 426. But if you're married but indicating that your spouse will not be going to Canada with you, you still get 451.

@ efosa123 you probably filled Canadian work experience that is why your CRS is very high. Check properly.

Good afternoon my people,

I am here again for advice. My people say person wey ask for direction no dey miss road..

The person assisting me with the process said i have two options i.e either through Express entry or Provincial Nominees.

As said earlier, i am waiting for my result to get to WES and be accessed.
i got an information yesterday that Saskatchewan will start charging an application fee of $300 from 1st April, I want to try as much as possible to avoid this. Now i have done 6 years in my present job and need to make at least 7 years. is it possible for me to add previous work experience including NYSC and does that request reference letter as well? i graduated from school in 2008, served that same year and ended in 2009. i worked partially in a place for 1 year before this present job. can that count ?

Thanks as i await your responses.

Hello everyone, I just got a PNP nomination and would be expecting to get ITA in the next draw. In filling the application post ITA, should I leave my spouse's work experience out of the work history section in order to avoid providing evidence and only include it under the personal history section? Please has anyone done this and gotten positive outcome? You candid response would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hello everyone, please I need advice..

About 3 years ago, I got a one-month visa to Angola but I overstayed by a year and 7 months. I ended up leaving on my own.

Presently, I intend using a new passport for my EE application. I hope to do a new passport soon claiming that the old one got lost. However, because the lost passport was electronic, I hear the number will appear on my new passport. My questions are:

1) Even though I'm using a fresh passport, is it advisable to on my own tell cic about the overstay? Will it make them reject my application?
2) If I decide to keep it secret, is there a way they can find out? I hear they can give up to 5years ban for misrepresentation.

Advice needed please. Thanks.

Yes I have a masters degree. I'm 34 now.

Your CRS should be around 450. There is something you aren't doing right. Go figure.

This is what most people do. No one has had any problems with this method.

You are expected to input details of all your trips within the past 10 years. Not doing this will be seen as mis-interpretation. CIC has all it takes to find out about your trips and if they do, your application will not only be rejected but you'll be given a 5 year ban.

CIC shouldn't care much if you overstayed on your visa. The only problem you might encounter would be getting PCC from that country. I don't know if they will be willing to issue you one seeing as you over stayed. Without PCC, your application will either be rejected or will be really delayed.

Honesty is the best policy, everything seems to be verifiable these days. Although, it should not affect your permanent resident application. It may have, if it were another visiting visa application.
However, declare all truthfully and support with Letter of explanation, if need be

Also during the listening period is it possible to pencil down somethings or what are the general skill that could be of help. Thanks for all responses in advance

You'll have headphones and it will be listened to just once. You'll have breaks tho, like questions 1-5 then 6-10 etc not just straight 1-40.

Yea you can write down stuff on your question paper, major skill you need is 100% concentration. Forget ur neighbour with big yansh, listen attentively.

You have lost about 20 points in Age however If you have upto 3 years work experience then your CRS score should be around 455 except you are married and your Spouse did not have IELTS and ECA report. That may be another reason why your score is low.

I believe so, according to a few people that have sent attestation letters and have since completed ECA. I've just recently sent a letter of attestation to WES, waiting for the change in status

Hi All, Good day and Happy Friday!!! I do have a question to which all advise will be highly appreciated. In getting all docs ready (received ITA 3wks ago but stalling due to fbi pcc) and reading through recent comments, i realized some said i can take out my spouse work history and move to personal history, i however do need clarification. I see that i only got points for my hubby's ielts but no points for education (as I claimed no evaluation) and no points for work. However the entire funds for the trip is in my hubby's acct though i have access. We tried changing it to a joint account but not possible so we decided he will move it to me and give me a gift deed....
1) With this situation, can i still take out his work history and put in personal history so we don't need to get reference
2) Do we need to explain the source of his funds?
3) Would i need his bank statement or not
4) I have a current acct n savings acct in gtb, an acct in stanchart, one in stanbic and a biz acct in Diamond. I also have a foreign acct. Off all these, the only acct with tangible funds (over 500k) is the biz account. Do i need to include all the statement for these accounts.
5) Do we need to include daughter's (she is less than a year old) bank statement too as i am the signatory because i read somewhere that all bank statements are required undecided
6) Do landed properties count as pof
7) I am currently self employed running prof devt training through my cac registered company which i added as part of employment, what do i submit as proof? Would cac doc and letter from clients suffice?

Sorry for my million and one questions, trying to cross all t's and dot all i's. Thanks

Hello N'landers, I just stumbled on this forum after a long time of recess from another N'lander forum. The other one I was indeed really helped! Please I wish to ask these specific questions about migrating to Canada and your candid advice will be appreciated. My wife and I, studying in South Africa presently (Me- PhD in Electrical, Wife- MSc in Nursing) are planning to start this process under Federal Skilled Worker. We have commenced the processes of gathering all our transcripts in Nigeria for evaluation by WES or IQAS and are in the process of sitting for the IELTS here in SA. My spouse has well over 10 years working experience, degree in Nursing, Diploma certificates in Midwifery and Public Health, PGDE in Education and registration with Nursing Council of Nigeria. I have about 10 years working experience too with MSc and a member of Nigeria's COREN, NSE and world's IEEE. With these few local profiles, plus the huge financial involvement and the stress, what are our chances in this new pursuit? Also, I read about WES and IQAS being provincial assessment agencies. For those of us who are yet to decide which province to go, which of these is more suitable to take? Thank yo all.
