After reading many write ups about the Ijaw people here on nairaland, everybody seems to love the Ijaws with their unique culture, especially their Niger Delta brothers and cousins. even some of the Yorubas. But usually countered and ridiculed whenever the issue of their population is raised.


We all know, even the whole world knows that Ijaws have been marginalized a lot by the Nigerian State due to their status as Minority( we gon talk about that next time).

This thread is created particularly to counter Wikipedia for recognizing the Tiv people as the fourth largest ethnic Group in Nigeria in place of the Ijaws, thereby denying the Ijaws their rightful place on the Internet map globally. When I searched for the entire Ijaw population. Wikipedia stated yet again that the Ijaws were over 10 Million people(we r still more than that but let me accept these figures)

And then again when I searched for the entire Tiv Populations, Wikipedia made it clear yet again that the Tiv population were about 4.2 million people.
