Yesterday was one of the worst days of my life as bad boys stormed our corpers Lodge yesterday in the middle of the night. I've repeatedly complained to my principal and Our LGI about the lack of adequate security in our lodge but all our pleas fell on deaf ears. Anyways my laptop and Lenovo tab was stolen and 10k cash (which was my last card on me). I thank God for his grace as no body was harmed except for some few bruises on a female corper who was pushed down by the hoodlums. Right now i don't know what to do as all my work data is in that laptop. I don't even have money to eat or pay for tfare back home. That NLs are responding this way is of no surprise. Everyone does have to be sceptical. All the same, the larger effect is when those who need help genuinely are denied.

As a corps member, I am aware your rule book does not permit travelling except with formal approval, so why the need for t-fare? Let April allowance drop na. Remain hopeful and go through some rough challenges in life; when you narrate the stories tomorrow, it's called experience. Even the responses of NLs is part of it!

How am i to cope without any kobo on me, my last kobo was stolen leaving me with nothing. April allowance will be paid by month end which is still two weeks away?

Sorry for your misfortune, my advice is borrow from your fellow corpers when alert come you settle them. Good luck

Thanks sir but most of the corpers that could have helped have traveled for Easter holidays, and the rest are very few and live far from where i stay. Na the same alawee we dey collect? Who go even gree borrow sef.

Those who subscribe to such theory of 'if you don't have, no dey ask too many questions' are like those who want to throw money from their vehicles irrespective of whether it gets to the beggar or not or if they are putting the life of the beggar at risk through such actions. For Christ sake, you're now a MAN, at least, you were initially acting like a self sufficient dude by going against your dad's wishes and not being in contact with relatives who might help.

Go out there, there must be something you can do to earn few bucks and survive. And again, this incident shows how vulnerable you are to financial breakdown. A graduate shouldn't feel so lost and hopeless.. I mean, what have you been doing in school? You've got no skills that can fetch you some cash when you desperately need it? Everybody must not be an entrepreneur, but everybody must have an entrepreneurial mindset if one must survive in our current world.

Your previous decisions made you feel like a man, well, this is the stage where your manhood is being tested for real. Let's see how you play the game of life. I hope you pass..

Sir don't be offended, but i mentioned in my post that my laptop and tab which is my main source of income was stolen? I'm not the lazy type so i don't know what you mean by all this.
