NAVY PURCHASE OF ABA MADE - ANOTHER PUNCH IN THE NOSE FOR IPOB.

So the Nigerian Navy has just contracted Aba manufacturers to supply it with uniforms for its thousands of officers.

Just as the Nigerian Airforce recently contracted Nnewi manufacturers (Innoson) to supply it with spare parts for its fighter jets.

Shortly before that, Aba manufacturers were contracted to supply the Nigerian army with battlefield boots.

You see, This is why many of us reject this Biafra stuff.

This is the sort of thing the SE should be looking at. Leveraging their skills to secure more prominence and say in the Nigerian scheme of things.

Why do you wish to be king of a village when you can be king of an empire?

Igbos can return to the drawing board, and plan how they will slowly take over the entire manufacturing sector in this country of 200 million, Africa's largest market, and the world's 7th most populous nation.

It's a fantastic opportunity for an entrepreneurial people with manufacturing capacity.

Here they are - supplying one of Africa's largest militaries, with uniforms, and even parts for their aircraft. They have First Favours with one of Africa's largest militaries.

That is GOLD right there.

People around the world KILL for that sort of market access.

The SE could start an entire industry centred around the supply of equipment to the Nigerian military. Starting with uniforms, spare parts, vehicles, and then moving on to weaponry, artillery, tanks.

Do you know what the military budget is per annum?

Billions of dollars.

That is just military. Other sectors abound in the country

Long term, it could make Igbos the richest black group on earth.

The alternative? A retreat into 'Biafra'.

Anonymity.

Irrelevance.

No different than Sierra Leone or Liberia.

Or South Sudan.

Or Togo.

Struggling to find markets for their wares as nations put up protectionist barriers, or simply prefer more 'established' suppliers. (Try seliing anything to say the Ghana military as 'Biafra' and see how quickly they'll reject you in favour of stuff from the US or UK, or Germany)

Vulnerable to superpower interference and mendacity.

A playground for foreign interests led by illiterate warlords like Nnamdi Kanu.

Why choose dust over gold?

Why choose irrelevance over relevance?

Why choose hell over heaven??

Another afonja muslim unity begger on the loose.
I wonder if they tied you people's placenta with Biafrans.

Unity is not by force. Leave BIAFRANS alone let them manage their own country whether it would be like S/Sudan(which is impossible) or not ,like some hungry fellows on this forum always use as an example of consequences of breaking up.

Anybody that is speaking against Biafra, may your children be forced to marry against their choice..Say amen .

First of all, you dullard, if ''clothing Africa and the world'' was so easy, why has no one else been able to do it? Apart from maybe China?

Do have a clue?

Of course you don't. Here goes. China built up its capital by patronizing itself. Shutting its doors to international suppliers. Looking inwards into its huge market. From there they built up the CAPITAL and KNOW-HOW to turn global suppliers.

How will Biafra build up such CAPITAL as a tiny state of a few million people? Where will you get the market access to fund your initial development, and sell your first products? You will NOT become a competitive manufacturer overnight. It takes decades of continuous upgrading of your products till they become competitive in the global market.

Being part of Nigeria, with ready access to its 200 million market, ALLOWS you to migrate those teething stages of your development, producing and selling less than optimal goods, with continuous capital inflow and market patronage, simply because you are part of the country.

Do you think the Nigerian army buys your boots because they are the best in the world? Or even the cheapest? NOPE. You are NOT competitive on the global market. They only buy your stuff BECAUSE you are Nigerians. That is magnificent support, which you are taking for granted. Thinking you can start as a tiny African republic, and ''take the world by storm'', is extremely naive, and founded on childish, ignorant myopia, and a lack of understanding of economics, the international marketplace, and geo-politics.

Count your current blessings.

This is the LUNATIC you are following and calling your 'leader'?

You are an embarrassment to humanity.

Just pray that civil rights icons across the world, like Al Sharpton and Louis Farrakhan, do not hear what this guy has been saying, because it sure as hell would cause an international storm, and serious international opprobrium on your heads.

After centuries of anti-colonialism, and civil rights struggles for black people worldwide led by icons like Dr Martin Luther King Jr, Malcolm X, Nelson Mandela, Kwame Nkrumah, Marcus Garvey, Bob Marley, Fela Kuti, and others, only for the new ''king of the Igbos'', to enter with his ''whites are superior to blacks!'' IGNORANT, BUSH MENTALITY BORNE OF STUPIDITY, LACK OF READING, RESEARCH OR BASIC INTEREST IN THE HUMAN CONDITION.

You should be thoroughly ASHAMED to call that imbeci.le your leader.

Before they hold any referendum, they need to to make it clear to the Igbo masses that up to 10 million Igbo returnees, deported from Nigeria, will have to compete with them for their limited land, few schools and hospitals, and limited food. When this is made clear, THEN they can hold a referendum. cool

You don't want a referendum when people lack access to the facts and implications of their vote.

The same thing happened with Brexit. Many British voted in a referendum, to leave the EU, simply due to their distaste for the poorer eastern Europeans migrating to Britain. When the 'Leave' vote won, many voters suddenly realised that funding for some of their local services, which had been provided by the EU, was suddenly cut. Certain EU linked foundations which funded one activity or the other, now withdrew their funding for this or that programme. The following week after Brexit, over 3 million Britons signed a document calling for a SECOND referendum, a REVOTE in effect, because they had not been made aware of the full consequences of Brexit.

So Igbos must be made fully aware of what 'Igboexit' would entail, before any referendum is held.

This a nice argument I approve. Too bad lots of IBOP's aren't intellectual but ideological about this. That's why you get Afonja comment as knee jerk reactions. If business interest are entangled and budget issues are a problem it could hinder secession. Look at Scotland for example the North sea oil revenue was going to be their main stay and they would have to worry about currency issues.

Thanks. My patriotism includes the Igbo nation. The world is moving towards market integration and consolidation for market access. That is the name of the game today. That is the way to prosperity. Market access.

The days of each group being 'independent' and going their own way are over. It was that political fragmentation that led to the conquest of Africa. It was their (forced) unification by the Mandarins that allowed China to keep away the colonialists, and consolidate themselves. As entrepreneurs and manufacturers, Igbos stand to benefit, the more market access they have. That market is Nigeria. Nigeria is GOLD for the Igbo man. If only he will recognise it.

Igbos have links to ancient Israel. The Jews have always been very smart people. Igbos should be likewise. Look at the United States today.

Who owns the US?

Jews!

They haven't produced a president there to my knowledge, and they don't give two shiits.

They even consider the presidency beneath them.

The US president and senators are like their errand boys.

WHY?

Because they control the Federal Reserve (an organisation which serves as the US central bank, but which is actually privately owned).

They own virtually all the major media houses.

They control US sports.

They control Hollywood.

They are in oil and gas, real estate, manufacturing.

They are millions of Jews in the US.

Many are subjected to anti-semitic attacks and racism.

But have you ever heard of them calling for secession from the US?

It's the last thing on their minds!!!

They even want more and more integration!!

The world has moved on from ethnic parochialism, and separatism.

Today, the only story around is 'Show me the Beef'.

For Igbos, NIGERIA is the Beef. wink

A few interesting stats: By 2050, Nigeria is projected to be the 3rd most populous country on earth after China and India, with a larger economy than Italy, Australia, Spain, and Canada.

http://uk.businessinsider.com/pwc-ranking-of-biggest-economies-ppp-2050-2017-2/#14-nigeria-4348-trillion-19

Just think about that for a second.

That is HUGE.

Igbos should be right in the thick of that. Dominating that economy.

Owning that economy.

Not in the backyard playing Ludo with the likes of Togo, Gambia, Sierra Leone, and other small countries.

This should be clear to anyone assessing this on a serious economic and geo-political level.

Just to bump. Does greater economic integration make session weaker due to entangled economic interest. If the likes of innoson and othere manufacturs has business interest in Nigeria make this more difficult. Trade barriers are real in Africa.
