what do you mean by distraction, I really do love math but, it's not easy to major in math, but with computer science I can venture into programming and software stuff, i understand that I can get into that through mathematics also, but I want solid foundation in computer science. Thanks

What I meant was that some people lose focus in their first year all because they're not interested in mathematics and are thinking of crossing at the end of the session only to end up with very poor grades that can't even guarantee a stay in mathematics department let alone other departments. And that's Tsunami knocking on the door. Don't worry though cos I'm very sure you'll be fine.

You've got a very brilliant jamb score
But your o'level results isn't helping matters.

Just two(2) things

1.) if different format will be use this year, perhaps it might favours jamb more.

2.) if the cut-off mark won't exceed 75 but i don't see it happening tho.

It's risky


I will suggest school that based admission purely on JAMB score

Jeeeesu! 338 with 5 B3's and your final aggregate is still below 80? This UI method of a thing dey slice marks (aggregate) crazily down oh. Kingsley, there are two sides to it.
1. Choose UNILAG (your aggregate there is 82.25. Last year's merit is 79) or UNIPORT/UNIBEN (It's like they reckon well with high JAMB-UTME scores, but am not sure of the regularity/transparency in their admission pattern though).
2. If you still love UI, choose Dentistry or choose Physiology and cross back to Medicine.
I hope my little advice helps

thru dis thread only, av been seeing some very intimidating JAMB score... Are they 4 real?? 338,327 etc....

coz last yr self...nah only 10 pple scored above 300 in the whole nation.
this yr cut off will be bad...
but to my surprise a friend of mine scores change all of the suddenly from 234 to 334 last week...he said he didn't know how it happened... but i guess he's lied to me...
some gurus i know well well self nah 270 ,280 range....
