When a middleman transacts a business after adding his commission,it becomes a herculan task getting him to go back to the real seller and retrieve a refund.

The earlier you send the battery to Lagos and get a commitment for a refund,the better. If not,you can choose to sell off the battery in Benin at a discounted price.

Just for the sake of clearing the air and for those who wants to know my side of the issue. Here is what happened. He contacted me that he needed an elitebook 8560w battery. I discussed with him and told him the price. I informed him that since he is in Benin, he will also add 1k for waybill which he agreed. He sent the money and I for the battery for him and sent it through a transport company to Benin. He got the battery and then het said it was not what he wanted that his own elitebook 8560w uses the longer battery which is a bit different from what I got for him. So I told him to send the battery back so I change it to what he wants. But he was adamant and started insulting me. Instead he said he needed a refund which I refused vehemently. He continued insulting me and showed no resolve to solve the issue.
How could I give you a refund for what I bought for you from another seller? I tried talking to him in the most civil manner so that we could resolve the issue but rejected all options and insisted on getting a refund without returning the battery I bought for him.

As a laptop engineer he can buy any accessories pertaining to laptop, that shouldn't be an issue.

When you buy a new battery, you can return it within 1-3days if you explain to the seller and the pack is intact, but if an engineer buys from his customer cos every engineer have those they buy things from and the seller can even go as changing the battery for him even if it's 1 week as far as the pack is intact but refunding the money, I can't guarantee that.

Since the Op needed the battery urgently, and was ready to send it back, depending on the location, the accuse would have received and send it back on same day (Ibadan, ife, Abeokuta etc) . He sent the money the day before yesterday. I got it same day and sent the battery to him. The driver got late to Benin so he had to arrange to collect it the following day which was yesterday. He saw the difference and contacted me immediately.


Sending another money shouldn't have arise in this case, he should have told you to return it immediately and share the waybill fee equally.

From your pic, I saw June 12 and today is 16 yet he didn't return your calls hmm..

It's good to read from both side before judging, op I guess your battery is double cell cos all 8560w uses same battery.

Note that double cell battery cost more, but that aside.

You won't be able to get a refund, have already said this in my first post, you can only change the battery.

To settle this matter, I'll advice both of you share the waybill fee equally, send the battery back to him so he can change it for you.

You can't blackmail me into giving into your rants. For the records, I already told you to send the battery for a change ( please let everyone know if this is a lie). But instead you were busy with insults .
If you like rant from now till tomorrow , it doesn't change the fact that I didn't scam you and I have done business with many nairalanders with good reviews after customer service.
If the intention was to scam you, I would have simply ignored you the moment I got your alert from the bank. Your attitude made this issue the way it is now because you think accusing me publicly will get you a refund. Even the seller won't agree to a refund.
