The department didn't require me to get a supervisor and Sop was okay, I guess

To you and any upcoming one, even if the department says no need for supervisor, try and email their faculty for support. I believe it's gives an edge when the competition is stiff.

As per your sop, you can't be too sure. Ask elders of our land to review it for you.

All the best.

Hello Seniors! Hello People!

Please all seniors in the house. I have a question for all you great Naijas.

Will Canada Embassy give or approve Student Admission Visa for a one-year (or less) Diploma or Certificate or Advanced Diploma certificate in Mechanical related course when I am already 47 years old, with a first Mechanical Degree (1996), Masters in Mech (2002) and lot of work experience years?

I repeat; Will the embassy grant me visa for a 1yr Diploma/certificate program when am so getting old and have done a higher masters in same related engineering for so long?

The truth is; I don't want to go there and do PHD or even masters, but I want to travel and have a reason to legally stay put for PR status like most of us younger ones are working towards.

Bros and sisters in the house, advice me o!!! least I waste time and money applying only to be bounced because of age and SOP!

Gracias!!!!!

It will really be difficult. The purpose of visit is very sketchy. A very sharp VO will see this as just an opportunity to travel. Are you currently employed? If you are, then you need a very strong introduction letter from your employer to say that whatever you are going for is for the benefit of the company. Its a dicey one. At this stage, they expect you to go for professional trainings, seminars and conferences.
You might look at Express Entry since you have lots of experience. You can also look for a short course related to what you are doing. Mind you, anything less that a year(8 months) or a year will fetch you just a year work permit. You have to find a skilled job immediately you finish. Also while here, you can apply for express entry. You can give it a short.
I hope you have strong home ties, apart from your job.

Sir,
Asides my sponsor, my elder brother had transferred some funds to my account for my academic purpose, He's not working he still schools but he can show the a proof of the source of funds, My question is how does he present this and what do we both need so i include it in my application and submit together with my bank statement ...whats your take sir?
pls let ur elder brother act as ur co-sponsor then let him e plain in his letter of support that the money transferred to ur account is his own support for ur studies. NB: u can use more than 1 co-sponsors, so no need to be afraid

you have said it already that u have a masters in same field so why risk going for a diploma(which is lower) in the same course? though notin is impossible but ur best bet is express entry, with ur qualifications and experience u should get it with lesser stress

Thanks and please. more suggestions!!!!

My company might (might) help me with the support papers, if I can get the training/course that's long enough. But the cost of training in engineering related field in Canada is prohibitive and one is expected to pay fully before visa unlike normal schooling when you can pay a fraction as deposit before embassy

yes my people, am already on track as per the EE. This same age thing drastically reduced my CRS, but I'll get there, via PNP nomination. Am waiting & believing God on it.

However, by this study channel, am trying to open another option via studies!

How do you see it.

This education route sometime works faster for younger ones that have no family ties in Canada.

Any more advice on how to get Canadian Courses and trainings?

Although I don't know much about the Australian easy PR route like Canada express entry, I think it Favors longer years of experience compare to Canada express entry. Explore it with the option of study in Australia too.

People with complicated profile should check study and immigration to Australia. The country is similar to Canada in opportunities and have easier study visa processing. Although I read there is little racism in some of Australia country side, but little avoidable racism is better than hunger ooo.

Edited: I see you are working on pnp. Nice one!

Good luck.

Thanks Bro! Appreciate!!

But my interest is for Canada only since I am not too disposed to do Amaria (only easy option) in States.

let him stand as a co sponsor since he can proof the source of fund. But please include his birth cert to show relationship and all documents to show proof of fund also let him write a letter address to the embassy what he has been doing and why he choose to help you. Let him include his tuition fee receipt where he is schooling .......generally and importantly let him submit enof document to show proof of funds and how he get am. My tot. Others can add more.

then try PhD or a masters in another machanical related field different from ur first masters. If it has to be the education route try and apply for PhD or another related masters(research base masters as that should come with funding )

Hello. I don't clearly understand this. Was he denied because his dad was denied a visa or he didn't know his dad had applied for a visa for him? My mum & elder brother were both denied US visas in 2014 but got it later. In my form, I ticked Yes to d refusal qtn but I personally have not been denied a visa to any other country but Canada in which I stated that.

He said he didn't know his dad had applied for a visa for him. Offcourse they can't penalise an individual based on the application of a relative.

Everyone has his/her own application file. Good that you ticked "yes" based on your previous application, not on the basis of your mom and bro.

I don't know what the cost is like. The problem is that I don think that there is any training here that will fetch you a work permit afterwards cos most of them should be less than 8 months. Have you been travelling? Do you have an international passport already? Cos I know how some of my friends that have never travelled before tackled the issue of age was to use an affidavit of age declaration and not their original birth certificate(declared it lost). But it has to tally with your international passport.

Stop contradicting yourself and call a spade a spade, in one hand you are telling people to be honest and in other hand telling them to be smart to cover their tracks and pray to God.

God has now become a partner in crime

I am not contradicting myself, it is very obvious that even when no punishment is attached to sin, people will still sin, it is in human nature to want to err for reasons known to them

And for the aspect of praying to God, God is not an author of confusion, yet he is a merciful God, He said he will have mercy on who he will have mercy on, not for the sake of being righteous or sinful, but because he chose to, nevertheless, we can continue to live in sin and ask for the grace of God to abide...

God does what he want, because he is God, so my brother don't be surprise when those people who have been misrepresented receive mercy from God and have their Visa granted...

God will favour us all

In this kind of scenario, what does the house think should be the best way to respond to this type of query from CIC?

muyem:
Dear All,

I need your kind advise on how best to respond to the letter I received from the Canada Immigration section, Ghana. The question is,

"On the current application form, you indicate that you have never been refused any kind of visa, admission, or been ordered to leave Canada or any other country. According to information in our records, you were refused visa(s) to the United States in the following year(s): 2016"

I never indicated that I was never refused any kind of visa. I ticked yes I was refused, Because I was previously refused that of the Canada. Meanwhile I was refused USA visa last year but was later given in March this year before my reapplying for Canada visa so I see no reason to state that in my form except that if Canada which I was reapplying for.

I have been given 2weeks to respond.

I need your kind advise. Thank you all in advance.

Hello house,

As regards "personal reference code" is it possible to retrieve it?

I didn't note mine down and from all I've seen it will be useful at the end of my application after I've uploaded all my documents.

Please what can I do? Do i delete my application and start all over again?

I don't think you can get CAD in black market. Your bank will process it for you. PTA is not constant, depending on forex and your bank.
