Good ones from the Us is in the range of 15k usd. Someone just sold his lr4 without engine for 2m

There were no brakes on the car, it was 10% effective. The engine of the 011 dies because the owner allows their Mecs to use any oil and these oils are not capable of holding down the engine temperature and so it either overheats or the crankshaft and the metals sadly give up the ghost

Magnatec is third in line but it is better than the Mobil 1 Egyptian spec, total q9000 synthetic blend and Oando syn aluminum oils

Not their fault though. Some mecs are not aware of the importance of the 5w20 badge on the oil cover and so use the available oil commonly sold. It is important to note that none of our local oils can work with these Engines. Recently a client helped me to order for castrol extended performance from the Usa because we could not get from our Suppliers

You are very correct but the problem is that the oil applicable to use in such vehicles are commonly not available. None of the oil produced locally will work on a Range Rover and that is the dilemma faced by mecs. So they use the available oil and start hoping that nothing happens to the engine. Not many owners of Peugeot 508 knows the kind of oil to use for the engine but Peugeot recommends Total and Total does not have the particular oil recommended for the car. Pan is now advising their customers to use Mobil 1 5w30 esp but the sticker is still on the car recommending Total. Those cars cost money too

Is the importation of original Engine oil prohibited in Nigeria? Cos I'm struggling to understand why we not having premium Oils in Nigeria for super cars . 5w20 cost £60 for a 5 litre can .

Few people are willing to Spend the money to buy Premium oil!


They prefer using AZ Oil because that is what they use in their Toyota Camry and it has been working fine....

And Emeka their mechanic said oil is oil...

There's no restrictions and the customer is ready to pay but the importers are at the mercy of dollar fluctuations and so are not importing at the moment
