Good day lancers, I need advice on my interview at US embassy that is scheduled for Aug. It is a B1/B2 visa for The youth assembly conference. I work with one of the leading bank in naija. What should I expect and how can best prepare to minimize my chances of refusal. HAVE APPLIED FOR MY LEAVE AND I SHOULD HAVE IT ISSUED BEFORE END OF THE MONTH..
Your advice and opinion on my next plans will be sincerely appreciated. Keep it rolling

Check the USA visa requirements thread. You'll get a wealth of information from there. Please study your DS form like you'd study for an examination.

You married a British citizen right? You have your Marriage cert?
It's more easy for you to live anywhere in EU, if he register your marriage in UK, so you can have UK RP.
Thats what am saying

Oga send a mail to them, and explain your situation.

This are case specific issues, what the told Femi, may not be what the will tell Chioma.

And the Embassy replies very Timely.
It wouldn't take anything from you.
Hear from them directly, so you won't be misinformed.
Just for your own good.

When did you send the mail, Friday or Saturday and what time?
If it was on Saturday, How will the reply on Saturday undecided
The didn't come to work na
The will reply soonest (Monday/Tuesday) ..

But relax, most likely you're NOT going to write any English proficiency exams.

I just want you to hear what the Embassy will tell you directly, some of this issues are not given generic answers, so to be on a safe side.
Wait for their response or send another mail, if the are taking too long to respond to the first one.

If you have read my previous comments on this thread you'll realize that I'm not actually the person involved in the traveling.
I only came here for more information.

Thanks

seunny4lif is not a learner, he is right, you are also right.

It depends on the type of Visa you have.
If it's a single entry visa for Ireland, if you want travel to UK or Northern Ireland, you MUST apply for a UK visa, and when you want to return to Ireland, you'll still need to REAPPLY for an Irish Visa.

If it's a Multiple entry Visa you have for Ireland, you'll still need to apply for a UK visa, if you want to travel to UK, but the difference now is that, you won't need to apply for an Irish visa again if you're coming back to Ireland.

Now, as an EU citizen or if you're under the refugee scheme, or any other immigration scheme in the European union that entitles you to free movement , you don't need Visa to either Ireland or UK, u can just be strolling in and out. (but with proper documentations)
Ps. UK is leaving the EU, so this won't apply again very soon.

You will be a direct EU family member meaning you have right to live anywhere in EU and to even school for free in some EU countries with your EUFM

Which passport is he using?British or Irish?
If it's Irish then he has to register you in Ireland and same goes to British passport also.
It's only when he register your married in his home country or his country of Resident that your marriage can be valid in EU, after that depending on the EU country, he select but your EUFM will be out within 3 months or max 8 months

Noooo
Don't get me wrong oooooh
If you get to Ireland, you will do that or he can do it in advance to make it more easy
It's doesn't matter maybe you live in Ireland or not as long as you guys are married.
Having EUFM RP is like having EU P which allow to visit EU anytime at anywhere.
He can even get a lawyer to make it faster, I know more about German law, Austria and Italian law.
My friend got married to a German in Nigeria, she brought the cert to Germany and registered it and it's became official cert under EU law.
She invited him to Germany as her husband.
Got his RP within 6months becos German law is too craze.

It's makes Visa application more easy cos he will be inviting you as his wife and to some countries in EU, it's VISA free fee becos of him.

hi everyone

How do I go about this please?

Got a sister who is a nurse in Ireland
while I work in one of the financial institution
here in Nigeria.
For now,I will like to visit her
during my vacation
still coming up in the year.

What are the requirements I need to
put in place for me to obtain visa?

What kind of visa would I need?

P.S Pls note this is my first attempt
and I will really appreciate all the info I can get.

P.P.S: I don't know if this info will aid the advice
you are about to give but am not married
though I got my fiancee.

P.P.P.S: I am also considering the possibility
of staying in Ireland permanently.
Is this a smart move?

Please advise. Thank you

Good morning to you all, please I need your advice and guidance, I just completed my nysc program and my aunt living in dublin asked me to come over there to be with her. The truth is I am not from a wealthy family but I intend to travel abroad in search of greener pastures. She told me to acquire an i.t skill because it is in high demand over there. Please how do I go about the visa processing. I really need you guys to help me make informed decisions. Thanks in anticipation of your responses.
