VISA TRANSCRIPT
Visa approved on June 29, 2017 @ Lagos Consulate. Sorry this is coming late
It was God who made it all possible and I thank him immensely.
I have been a follower of this thread and read the old transcripts as advised by great minds of this community. I want to specially thank Bigfrancis21, he is truly beyond description as a friend and helped me a great deal all through the process.

It rained that morning and the security guys were far less concerned to know cold dey nack me dat morning regardless of my tie, lol!!!
The interview was smooth. I was interviewed by an older lady above 40 years on June 29, 2017. She had denied two applicants right in front of me. Well they somehow where not clinical during their interview, one guy was speaking phonetics with her while the other lady was busy saying she applied one school because her aunty leaves close to the school.
Mine lasted less than 3mins. I didn’t have smile on me that morning, reasons I don’t know why. Not typical me.
I walked up to her, no smiles on my face at least not after the rain don nama me wella and my glasses had bubbles on it.

ME: I greeted her sharply as she is elderly, no smiles on my face and passed my Passport alongside I20
VO: she typed and turned with no single line of smile or grin in her face and asked when did you finish
High school
ME: 20XX
VO: Bachelors?
ME: 20XX
VO: what have you been doing since then?
ME: I have worked a couple of places but I currently work in xyz as yzx and my current work experience motivated me to pursue further studies in cybersecurity (I was pretty fast in reply but she cuts in)
VO: **Cuts in; how many schools did you apply?
ME: three. Apart from Umd, University of Texas ElPaso and Morgan State university
VO: how many acceptable?
ME: I got offer from UTELP but a decline from MSU
VO: Why do you choose University of Maryland?
ME: Because UMD is one of the top 25 best university in Engineering in US and have one of the best
Cybersecurity centre ***
VO: ***Cuts in*** not typing this time, looked so straight on my face with no smile still and asked; What
does your Father do?
ME: I was surprised as I indicated my Uncle as sponsor. But I replied: He is a successful business man bla blah blah.
VO : ***cuts in***, I will approve your visa bla blah bla… please try study your books and have fun in US
during your study. Miraculousy the long awaited grin and smiles emanated from her face

ME: but too bad still no smiles on my face, I just say thanks and struggled with a grin.

I balled out thankful to GOD. The interview was like a flash (3-4Mins) and God was all involved with guidance from Bigfrancis21.
Wishing all future Applicants success but please never you say you applied one school. Please never ever say so. It’s a damn red flag…. NEVER SAY YOU APPLIED TO ONE SCHOOL!!!
LOVE YOU ALL!!!

Congrats!!! can I PM you. I am about to apply to UMD against January 2018

wait, What's with the xyz zly Bleep people seem to be adding to transcripts recently... the old transcripts me I read, nothing like that was their o. Very detailed and enlightening... Since you're not stating your full name, banking details and all, I personally don't think there is need for all those ish... e.g the way you profile your job description might help someone understand how to go about theirs. Someone might choose the same school you chose, they could work around your research about the school and add to theirs... why are we making it look like our primary school exams where we cover what is not!!! ENOUGH OF THE XYZ Bleep jor...

Hi everyone, the gurus in d house and all current graduate students abroad.
U guys are doing a great job. Please I need your candid advice.

Pls help your boy. I have a dynamic issue:

I intend to make a career transition into IT. I have an undergraduate degree in geography. (3.29/4 GPA) taking GRE in November.
I want to start an application for fall '18 I have been able to draw a list of 7 schools that I can get admitted into with my undergraduate degree. As I will have to take some prerequisite courses alongside my graduate coursework.

My question is can I get graduate assistantships (TA/RA)  considering my undergraduate background if I get admitted? Cos sincerely I cant foot all my bills if I will be sincere with myself. Or I should jejely do MS Geography or other related courses if its gonna be a mission impossible or almost impossible.

Thanks in anticipation bosses. !!!

Cc: Lagosismyhome and Texrem

Just apply first and get admitted. Even if you don't get RA/GA, you can get on campus jobs that can help you academically, career wise and financially.

Thank you

Hey guys please I need your help on something. I've applied to a u.s university for this fall and I was notified through email that I'm admissible by my profile and I need to send my sponsor's bank statement to complete the admission process. The thing is that money goes in and out of my sponsor's account and presently the account balance is not up to the balance needed by the school and it'll likely remain so till the end of this month. The question I want to ask from the gurus of this thread is if it is possible to have the school direct my admission process to January instead of the fall semester which I applied for because I'm expected to send the bank statement before the 20th of this month. So that by the time my sponsor's bank statement is ready all I'll need to do is send my bank statement to complete the admission towards January instead of fall semester.
Expecting your expedited response, thanks

VO didn't give him reasonable time to defend himself could that be as a result of not detailed job profile on DS160?

Congratulations. I like the detailed nature of your transcript and no doubt depicts what transpired. I have to say I found the demeanor and mien of the VO that interviewed you to be relaxing and reassuring. I really like the way she interviews and interact with applicants. It really beats me why anyone would not want to interview with her. Even those that she eventually denies are given ample time to make their case.

Congratulations once again. Now to flight hunting and preparation for travelling

Na the next level bi that ooo.. thanks Bro

Abeg my knowledgeable people, help me scrutinize my list of food items that I plan to take to obodo oyibo. Please forgive my ignorance. I have not travelled with food items before.

Brown beans
Dried Fish
Ground crayfish
Garri
Dried Ukazi
Dried Uziza
Knorr Cubes (not the chicken flavored)

Any contrabands?

Lol. I am more concerned on how u wud protect the dried fish smell on your clothing. There is plenty garrison here. What about ground pepper?

It is very possible. Only few schools object to deferment. You have to do a mail to the admission office

Errm. Can't the statement stop at the last time there was sufficient funds? Say that was like last month, you'd print it up to that point.
Worked for me.
Hope this makes sense.
