And how many of you put these into practice beyond text?.

When someone is sick now, you head straight to Christian hospitals where they charge exorbitantly and you start asking for donations. And the people amongst Muslims who gave it a shot you call them "alhubidah".

You believe in text but when it comes to converting text to reality you miss road undecided

# grin Ha you don add salt to their injury be that o.

# The truth is I don't have any problem if anyone of them decided to use the textual so-called Prophetic medicine. That's their decision. I get furious when they want to present the matter by condemning other forms of medicine (traditional and orthodox) as a sort of "haram" in other to promote what they see in the book. Some will even go to the extent, "Prophet recommend something, you want to use another thing. Ironically, Up till now, none of them (to my knowledge) has not come forward to drink or sell or campaign for camel urine, or camel urine + camel milk for fever as it is stated in their hadith. They still rely on the orthodox or traditional medicine. Or the idea of eating 7 dates in the morning, and no poison will affect you?!

# Medicine and its practice has been in existence before Islam. And there are lots of things that are not Islamic invention but only approved by the Prophet e.g Ijama (cupping). Allah in His wisdom knew why He surround every nationality with specific kind of plants etc for their immediate use. Fine, human share ideas, culture, medicine etc. That's the beauty part of being human. The truth however is world has developed beyond using urine camel or cold water to cure fever.

# Personally, I hate the idea of trying to portray Nabi, salallahu alayhi wa ahli as "a doctor, or a scientist" as if there is value in those profession than being Nabi and Rasul. Interestingly, Nabi himself never called himself as such or told us he came for Medicinal purposes.

Medicine, science etc are what man can discover himself, progress on it and perfect it, based on challenges he faces over time. Nabi's responsibility is guidance towards God, and perfection of human akhlaq (moral). This is what time cannot change because it remain constant, and of course man cannot perfect his own morals.

They vex me u know. So i feel it is right time to talk sense in their head. They have problems with "terms" used by non-salafi adherents even if you present clear explanations. The thing vex me.

Now op is talking about prophetic medicines something other muslims have been doing and still doing but they tagged them "alhu-bidah". If some people are doing something despicable amongst them doesnt mean they have to throw out baby with water. I said this to them countless times but they dont listen.

Listen, orthodox medicines you take at the hospital, panadol, parasetamol, and a host of cold medicines given to you by doctors, were they prophetic medicines?

The only time it becomes Haram is when something forbidden or in conflict with shariah is added. Blood, wine etc

# So, its not Empiree alone anymore, it is "you people". Toor! We are not hypocrites o. Nobody is discouraging anybody. # I bet all your life (so far), you've been using orthodox medicine, and Allah has granted you good health. I wish you well on your sojourn to ito rakunmi.
