Scores will drop a bit but its better than getting things complicated.

Thanks dear. The masters is mph. Was thinking of putting his work details in personal history. Practicing pharmacy in canada is a different process with exams and Co. So are you advising I don't claim points for the mph? Put his work details in personal history?

Thanks for the response.

HELP Needed oo! Self employment vs corporate Employment

I am a self employed person and i have been self employed most of my adult life...last time i worked for someone was during NYSC. I also worked at a farm (Agric student) for my IT and worked at my parents' businesses for a long long time.

Question is, how do you advice i handle the issue of work reference and the likes. Do i include my own business as a work experience and other ones i mentioned or its not acceptable.

I know most folks for the EE are people who have been in corporate employment and the likes...do self employed folks stand a chance or PNP is the way?

PLEASE ADVICE!

If the masters degree is in Pharm and he intends to practice in Canada u can't use Wes evaluation btw, to avoid stories that touch just use ur own ECA and put his own in personal history.

Yes work reference is required for FSW and you don't really need new references, unless it will be easy for you to get them from your employer. The address you can use is

Central Intake Office (CIO)
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC)
Sydney, Nova Scotia
Canada.

Cheers

Thank you so much

I don't understand this sudden love all of u have for Ontario Noi. With ur score there's every possibility of getting ITA direct

Just get another letter addressed to "the visa officer" or "to whom it may concern" IRCC Nova Scotia (I will get the proper addy later)

I would advise you go ahead with evaluating both degrees...

You cannot be asked for a police report if your travel history doesn't show that you were in the UK for over 6 months cumulative...

I think the UK degree was an online thing. If that is the case the degree won't be accepted as it does have any percentage of offline engagement. I think they accept it when you had at least 25% offline.

Rain of ppr!congrats people.
A question pls. Currently in the pool with 392 points and am retaking the ielts to try and get better points. I had my LLB evaluated by Wes ( b4 some of u go ahead with brazen caustic comments, I had already done my ECA before stumbling on this forum) instead of the preferred iqas for law degrees.

Do I go ahead and get my LLB reassessed by iqas? Will change my points significantly or do I concentrate on the ielts alone.
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by Abby2017: 4:45pm On Jul 26, 2017
Ugh??@ bolded, that is not true, as long as it is an accredited degree&institution.

I evaluated my degree with WES and no mention was made of offline/online, my certificate and transcript does not even carry that. I claimed point for Msc and didn't submit UK PCC, no ADR has been received so far.

I hope not to receive ADR for PCC, VO should not comman use yeye discretion on me. I added "by correspondence" as CIC suggested but then it is all at VO's discretion.

If I were you, I'd evaluate again with Iqas. It will earn you more points. This does not stop u from retaking ielts anyways. What was ur initial score?
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by boldinc(m): 4:49pm On Jul 26, 2017
Can you verify this information? I doubt that is correct as there are accredited and recognized schools that offer online courses.

Use the crs calculator to check. Also determine if retaking ielts is enough to getting 440. If yes you may not need to redo your ECA.

Not bad really, just that Reading messed it up. Please go for it if you can. Also, check the CRS calculator and input a 7 for the Reading, see d difference. You may also check 'two to more certs' and see the difference it makes.

Bottom line, dont give up...All the best!

Congrats on your IELTS score. I need clarifications on the app. Does it expire after a period of time after payment or once you have paid you can use it as long as you want

IELTS Update people:

L= 8.5
R = 9
S= 7.5
W = 7.5.

Advice - Please pay for the full version of the "Road to IELTS" app. It helped a loooooooot! By the time you are done practising all the sample tests, you will be familiar with the structure of the questions, especially for reading and listening.
