Hi everyone,

I have read through every comment in this thread and i have not gotten any reply that answers my burning question about migrating to Canada.

I am 23,male, a university graduate(2013) with 2+ years work history and i VERY VERY Much want to leave Nigeria for Canada. I have been trying to process a visa since i was done with my NYSC, but because of challenges like my age(then 20) or finance issues i could not successfully process a visa.
I lost my father recently(10 months ago) n was willed a reasonable amount of money(assets which i am about to sell) that kills my finance challenge and i want to use it to process my leave for Canada. My age is a barrier that is holding me back(based on what i was told by many travel agents). Now I want to take a bold step of processing a visa on my own but i still cant do it because i feel i lack enough information.

PLEASE everyone/anyone guide me through, Should i still wait till i am old enough(27-30 + i'm one of those kids that looks older than their age) according to the agents and keep struggling in this country? OR i just man-up n run the visa independently?

For questions, i hope the information i'm giving below will give clarity and tailored response:
1. I want go in to work first because i don't have enough money to process a tertiary institution but enough to fund accommodation for 6 months, feeding and clothing for a year.
(i can settle for a very low level job for a start)
2. I have worked as a finance officer for an HR firm, a CSR for a bank, currently a Business support analyst for consulting firm and a business designer (freelance)
3. I am working on getting a invitation from every friends, friends of my friends and even enemy that can help in Canada. I don't have any family that want to help(if you know what i mean).

Please i really need guidance and helpful suggestions.. i am tired of waiting.
Thanks,
gjcastleremix2000@gmail.com
Bro, its easy. You have what it takes to get PPR on your own. Firstly, register for IELTS exam, but sure you get 8777 in LRSW , then do credential assessment may be with WES or any other one. After that you enter the pool to get ITA and subsequently submit your application to get PPR. Its easy , you can do it by yourself. Pls do give any money to agent that will do azonto with you money. Am willing to put you thru step by step. But note, am not going to help you do anything , except to provide info. But still take time to read this thread from page 0

NYSC is treated as employment and sits under personal history if and only if you are not claiming employment points for the time spent doing the NYSC. However, if you are claiming employment points for NYSC, then you have to move it to work history and please note that you will be required to provide a reference letter from your employer.

All the best!

Reference letter from my employer? What if my former office no longer exist?

This has been discussed severally on this thread. Use the Search button at the top of this page to "Google" using key words like "reference letter". Cheers

It doesn't look like you have done much reading... But I'll help with some info while I urge you to read more on this thread.

Firstly, go to this link and follow the instructions - http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp

Come back and inform on the points you score...

You age and other information you gave make you an eligible applicant for the Canadian PR. I assume you are single.

Check your score on the link first...

Hello guys, please I have one question. If I write my IELTS for another reason, say for advanced studies, and I then want to use it for Canada immigration at a later date, is that possible?

IELTS exam is of two types. Academic and General. They cannot be used in lieu.

Yes, just make sure you indicate for personal reasons and the country you intend to migrate while submitting your application online.

Cheers.

Good day everyone, please i need an advice on how to about evaluation for HND.

Is it Icas or Wes that will evaluate better for more points?

Should i send in only the HND or both OND and HND for evaluation?
Anyone with same experience?

I know. I meant IELTS general. I asked this as a follow up to a question I saw earlier in the thread where someone said you have to fill immigration purposes when taking the IELTS for Canada immigration.

I wrote the IELTS general training for professional training reasons in an English country, not for immigration purposes. Now, I'm wondering if i can use the same result for Canada immigration.

Bro\sis if u use ICAS 3 years u never evaluate ur HND finish. Its IQAS that's discussed positively here

In other news, use Wes for ur ND and HND

CIC works in mysterious ways, the fact that one is in IP2 does not guarantee that the golden mail will come within 2 weeks. One just needs to be hopeful and positive. I have friends that have been in IP2 for the past 3 weeks and no PPR yet.

The bottom line is that it will come at the appointed time, so that high bp can be avoided.

Blood of Zacharia!!!

please don't be a party pooper. We are aware of things in cic, we encourage one another here. Shish!!!

OK, that's off my chest undecided

Hello House,

Please, do I need to send my transcript again to WES if I want to upgrade from ECA report to Course-by-course report? I need this for professional licensing as a Medical Laboratory Technologist.

Thanks

If I can help, I would have responded to your query. I'm afraid this is beyond me. Hopefully, LAUTECH will resume soon.

Best of luck

You can fax to them via hellofax.com or photocopy and send via dhl or your preferred courier option. You need to do some reading on your own (doubt you have even checked wes website at all)

I just sent my Msc certificate via hellofax today, you can check previous page(s). I'll keep the house updated....

Thanks for the clarification. One more thing pls, what mailing address did you use to register on WES website. Your personal address or they will mail your report cic straight??

Thanks for your response
