Hello House,

Please i need everybody's opinion on the issue of my best friend;
She is about creating a profile to dive into the pool.But she is confused on what to do, either to apply as single or married, or even separated because;
1. Her marriage has broken down for almost two years now and she and her husband has been separated for almost two years now.
2. Although they are still legally married because divorce has not been filed yet and also they are not legally separated yet.
3. The husband is in custody of their two children
4. She wish to include the names of her children in her application but the children are not going with her immediately.

Considering the criteria in EE that says;
1. The spouse and children must do medical even if they are not coming with the applicant to canada
2. The Proof of fund must be for four people(in their own case) , even if they are not coming with the applicant to canada

Note: The husband will never cooperate to do medical

what can she do?

Hello house,

I recently started my Express entry application for skilled immigrants, I took my IELTS test some time last year of which I scored 7 overall.
So my question is when I was filling in my education details on the CIC website. It asked if I have an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA). I.e I have to have my foreign education assessed by an approved agency from Canadian immigration, which must show that my credential is valid and equal to a Canadian Credential. However a friend doing his MSc over there suggested I check World Education Services (WES) website, which I did and they said on the website that I am required to send my Copies Original Certificates myself, Transcripts sent from my Uni and my WAEC result sent by WAEC.

PLEASE CAN ANYONE WITH THESAME EXPERIENCE HELP ME OUT WITH THIS ISSUE??

what can she do?

In this case, I think she needs to make her separation legal. Even if she is not going for divorce straightaway, she needs legal backing that they are separated. This is very important, as in this case the husband will not have to go for medicals, but the children have to, she will also have to show POF for the kids. She needs to talk to a lawyer, who will advise her on what to do.

Wow this really fast. Am almost 2months in and I am still stuck in IP1. My AOR was June 10. My application is in CIO, Sydney and I heard those guys over there are real slow.

What V.O was your application processed at? Also, is there anyone here whose AOR is around June and their application is being processed at CIO? Just wondering why mine is so slow

June applications are kind of slow jare, my AOR is June 4 and Medicals wasn't passed till 1st August, and been in IP1 since July even before Medicals passed .... although I now have a second ADR - I don't know where my app is but I have come to the conclusion that July ppl are speeding past us June ppl. We shall get there eventually

Greeting great family!

Please house, I just got my IQAS Certificate today after 46days.
My HND was verified as a 3 year post secondary equivalent in Canada.

Is this the same with others?
We have been harping on using Wes for this HND + OND thingy.

Yes. I went through the same process. I had to send someone to help me to follow up with them. If you are in the east you can go there yourself or if you have someone around that can assist you please beg the person. You really need to follow up with them.

Did they send a message to your school to verify your documents? If yes, after how many days of receiving your credentials did they send the message?

I sent my documents to IQAS too. I need to know so that I can do a follow up with my school.

This is serious.
That means I was wrong with my understanding.
I taught it was IQAS that evaluates HND as a double certificate and not WES.

Then I will revert to WES.

I don't think applying as a married person will fly as she has to present a marriage certificate which I don't think is given at a traditional marriage. She had better apply as a single person with child.

I don't think she should apply as a single person with child.
Applying as a common law partner is more reasonable.
As a prove make your pof account a joint one.
Also add your marriage picture and your baby's birth certificate.

That's what I think though.

Good people of this great thread, I am about to start this great journey to Canny, however, my closely related occupation on the NOC list is 1222 in GROUP B which is Executive assistant, but on the letter from my office it says Personal Assistant, this was a position I was promoted to over a year ago, although I have been with the company for over 5 years. The job description on the NOC fits what I do presently.

My previous position was that of a travel and logistics officer. My question is can I apply under the NOC 1222 B which i just have 1 year plus experience or look for a NOC code with travel experience in it.

Getting reference letter from my office may be difficult as they are very strict with such letters.

MY PROFILE:

AGE: 37 BY OCTOBER

DEGREE: BSc and MSc Unilag

Preparing for IELTS

Also, I want my wife to do ECA assessment as well but the problem is are University ( Ekiti State University) have been asking around but no useful info yet, please is there anyone who can assist with this.

Thank you as I await your special advise.

Stay calm bro. Ur POF has been locked in either at ITA or AOR. Besides, as soon as CBN funds the market with Forex, Naira will appreciate

Its an overflogged issue on this thread. If you are not the principal applicant you can make do with your IQAS but if you are WES is preferable for HND

I thought The required POF for single applicants is now 12,300CAD not 12,164CAD anymore.

It is a good idea to keep monitoring the exchange rates and adjust your POF accordingly because your POF is measured in Canadian dollars and you are expected to maintain the equivalent in Naira for Nigerian applicants. Back when I applied in 2014, I ensured my POF was above the required equivalent funds so that when the exchange rates went up, I was covered and didn't have to worry about increasing it. Some others just converted their Naira to US dollars and put in their dom account which was smart because when others suffered as the naira fell in 2015, they were safe and smiling. They just took their dollars with them to Canada when they received their PR.
Okay. At the time I submitted in June, I had deposited about 300K extra in POF but using today's exchange rate, the total POF in my bank statement has fallen below required sum. Are you saying CIC will use today's Oanda exchange rate to calculate assuming they were looking at my file today or they will calculate based on my submission date in June? I am pnp so my file is yet to be attended to tho, hopefully rates normalise. However, your response is scary bro...

Hi all,

In reviewing your PR application, is it expected that if your have up to 10 years working experience, you should have reasonable level of savings to migrate and not rely on gift deed for POF for family of 4. Can you be rejected because of this?

I am asking because myself and spouse have personal and business assets above the required funds which we are trying to sell. I particularly have a land I have been trying to sell for the past 4 months as settlement funds, but it will still take time to dispose of.

However, I can be gifted the required funds by my family. Can I go ahead with the gift.

Thanks in advance
