A monument honoring Russian officer Aleksandr Prokhorenko has been unveiled in the Italian municipality of Vagli Sotto.
Russian and Italian authorities, as well as members of military bodies including the Russian Army, were part of the inauguration ceremony.
The young Russian officer was involved in the Syrian Army's effort to recapture of the city of Palmyra from the hands of the Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) in March last year.
He heroically died after ordering an artillery strike on his own location after he was surrounded by IS fighters.

Russian special forces officer Alexander Prokhorenko, who was killed in Syria during the battle for Palmyra, was buried with full military honours in his home town of Gorodki, in Russia's Orenburg Region, on Friday.
Earlier in the day, hundreds of local residents paid their last respects to the officer at a public remembrance ceremony at the local House of Culture. The remains of the Russian soldier were delivered to the Orenburg region from Moscow, where his family received two French WWII medals from the Mague couple, who had learned of Prokhorenko's exploits and decided to hand the heirlooms to his family as a mark of respect.

To be doing good deeds is man's most glorious task.

A man must be willing to die for justice. Death is an inescapable reality, though men die daily, but good deeds live forever.

May the cosmic order bless & reward this courageous soldier - Aleksandr Prokhorenko for giving up his life in fighting against the shackles of terrorism - created & sponsored by our enemies - the enemies of humanity.

They congregate at the Oval office to dish out propaganda & lies like guguru & ekpa while plotting evil in the Pentagon. grin

They are quick to reward good with evil, and hatred for love - because of crude oil & power.

May evil never depart from their households.

May the spirit of Saddam Hussein, Muamar Gaddafi & Hugo Chavez continue to torment them.

May Mother Russia seize all their possessions; and let North Korea & Iran spoil their labours.

Let their posterity be cut off; and in the generation following let their name be blotted out by Satan 2 Sarmat & Topol-M.

Let brain tumour fall on them - even as they shout “In God We Trust” grin

Because they remembered not to shew mercy, but using CIA, Mosad & MI6 to persecute the poor and the needy, that they might even slay the broken in heart.

As they loved terrorism & false flags, so let it come unto them: as they delighted not in peace & blessing, so let it be far from them.

As they have clothed themselves with terrorism & assassination like a garment, so let it come into their bowels like water, and like oil into their bones.

Let this be the reward of all our adversaries in Washington, London, Tel-Aviv & Riyadh from the Irunmoles, and of them that plot evil against our souls - Ase!
