Brother, hardly do Nigerians do things out of the passion for it. How many Nigerian can go deep into Nigerian forests to study its wildlife. And do we even have the equipments for underwater research of educational reasons

In short, we have to change our orientation and stop spending all our time, money and lives on food, feasts and fcvking and devote more efforts towards understanding our society better with appropriate documentation for posterity. Not so?

If only Nigerian leaders have sense. We have enough fish and wildlife to turn Reese country to a tourism country but they only look for quickest avenue to enrich their pockets.

This was same fish I spotted in Georgia aquarium called manta ray ..People pay just to see these species..
Africa knows nothing but destruction. Killing everything killable: good governance, citizens, infrastructure, wide life, etc. Imagine the loss. Selling the Manta Ray alive to zoo or individuals at a reasonable amount. Rather than eating or selling the parts for a few coin. This continent is under a spell.

My brother we have not gotten to that level yet, the continent as a whole is still fighting hunger. The manta ray would have been sold for some some good money and kept in a reserve and other rare specie for tourism and in turn create jobs. With what I saw that aquarium would employed about 200 people or more..

I went to the zoo one time and saw our Native goat(obuko in Yoruba) and I was surprised. Bro its pathetic in africa

I don't see the reality of Africa ever moving pass this level. The west should better use this continent as a zoo or farm to feed themselves. "When a student can't copy right the correction on the board. Then, it is all over for such a student". Those people you referred to had no platform or template. Yet were able to carve one for themselves and made things to work. Then, If Africa can't correctly learn from them. It is all over!!!

Our oceans rivers are still used for sacrifices.
No one want to dive in and study nature at its best cos they are afraid of demons and mammy water.
On a good day, that fish will be taken to an aquarium and studied while people go and view it as a form of tourist attraction.

Very useless country.

Nothing to be proud of.

If they see anything it's always kill and eat.
Like during caveman era.
So what's the diff.
Still d same mentality.

Big spell.
They still have caveman mentality.
Look at them.
Pathetic.
Nothing to boast of in this world yet civilization started in Africa.

How can they kill such a rare creature?
And they are proud displaying their foolishness.

I refuse to be like them.
