Congrats on your new born... I pray for a successful life for him/her. You can notify CIC right away... It would probably elongate your application, but it's the best thing to do and be prepared to pay extra $150 RFPF... Not sure about medicals tho, but yo will be advised after notifying them. Congrats again. Remxyj: |

Notice the 'we do not need additional documents?" Also, the background check has the same info as Final Decision... Your application is in progress....... (Probably an error while pasting by OP. Hence why I asked to recheck and confirm. But once they do not require more documents, most times it's IP2 and a decision could probably have been made. 40manlappy: |

boldinc: The bolded may or may not mean much. At IP1 stage, my background and final decision have the same status i.e. "your application is in progress". Even upon approval, my "review of additional documents" still showed "the additional documents you provided are being reviewed". Meanwhile it went through "reviewed" to "uploaded" to "not needed" in no particular order. However, it went into the "not needed" status two days before my background check moved to IP2. Catch the drift? 2 Likes |

Hello Canadianfly, I just figured out how to check my old posts and then saw your question. I hope you have not gone ahead with the fingerprints. CIC conducts its own background checks, so there is no need to submit a police report. They will only ask for one if it is necessary. Again, apologies for the late response. Canadianfly: |

Please I would like to ask about names on passport. I know people have discussed something similar here but I tried to go back a couple pages but could not find the discussion (I can't figure out how to search on a particular thread, it keeps giving me options from the entire Forum). The name on my Fiance's passport is Omo-something, this is same as the name on his birth certificate. However, all his other credentials and certificates show Ola-something. One of his teachers changed it during WAEC and he has used it since then. He has already done an affidavit stating that it's the same person. Can he apply with the Passport and affidavit or will he need to apply for a new one? Has anybody successfully resolved this with the Passport Office? What is the process if we want to apply for a new one? PS: I am the only applicant now, I intend to add him after our wedding later in the year. Thank you. |

IP1 The BGC would change to Not applicable in a few days and that would be NA2 I got my PPR almost 2 weeks ago and my application page is still similar to what you have below except my BGC is showing as; We are processing your background check (IP2) and my review of eligibility is still showing as; We are reviewing your additional documents! My advise- Ignore all others since u've passed medicals, just monitor the BGC section walexlo78: |

I have a friend who had the same issue. She now has her PR and is in Canada lounging. He should attach his Birth certificate, get an affidavit and also write an LOE. No biggie Gracefulchild: 1 Like |

Na lie! For that part you highlighted my application is still showing as; We are reviewing your additional documents and I got PPR almost 2 weeks ago.... I think the only constants are medicals update and BGC updates. That is soooo IP1 boldinc: |

Hello house, The POF required for my family is about 6m. Please I have the following questions regarding this: 1. Must the minimum account balance over the period of six month stipulated by CIC be 6m or just the last balance at the day of submission ? 2. Can part of the money be withdrawn when application is in progress. Thanks. 1 Like |

Lekinsbaba, 1. If i am not wrong, the average monthly balance to be stated by the bank as requested by CIC must not necessarily be 6m. It coulc be higher or lower. But if its going to be lower, it must be a reasonable margin. A wide gap between the avereage monthly balance and the last balance as at submission will definitely make the VO suspect a foul play. If the difference is going to be that much, I'm afraid you'll have to explain how you came about the bulk inflow. 2. Yes, part of the money can be withdrawn while application is in progress. But be cautious. You don't want the VO (if atall they want to verify from the bank later on) to hear that a substantial amount has been withdrawn. Though, I'm not sure if they do random verification. Wish you well in your application. lekinsbaba: 1 Like |

LordSebastian: Good day. Please I have a question about the average balance for the last 6 months shown on the bank letter? Is it balance of each of the last six months summed up and divided by 6? Or balance of each of the last six months? Thank you. (I sent you a pm as well, pls reply) |
